How can I be sure that I did not claim myself for 2018

Look at the top of your Form 1040. See if the box is checked for Someone can claim you as a dependent. That box is right under your name.

I need to amend my return to remove my dependent from my (parent) return & claim on her own. Must I first amend mine & then hers or can I just amend her's?
