Deleting usually clears this error. When you re-enter your interest and dividends, are you importing or typing the information yourself?
If you are importing, try typing the info yourself.
Try deleting and re-entering your Schedule B info.
Deleting Schedule B will delete any interest (1099-INT) and dividends (1099-DIV) on your return. If you received interest and dividends, put those amounts back in before filing. The foreign bank question will come up again. Be sure to say No this time.
@ErnieS0 thanks for your answer. I already tried doing that. The system removed all my INT and DIV records like you said and stopped generating the form. Once I entered them again, the system asked me about foreign assets and I answered "No". However in the end the system still generated the form with a "Yes" check against the row 7a.
Please clarify. Are you using TurboTax Online or CD/Download?
It is TurboTax Online.

Thanks a lot, typing the data manually fixed the issue and the schedule page stopped being generated (and it actually shouldn't generate because the amount of dividends is less than 1500$).
I had typed the information into TurboTax and I didn’t realize that box 7a was checked YES until I had submitted and printed. 😡 Boxes 7b and 8 are both NO. Why is this a problem with TurboTax software? I’m not happy!!!!
I have tried everything to have Schedule B 7a indicate NO. This must be a bug. Has anyone figured out how to correct for the 2023 submission? Thx

Yes,
I have no foreign account. So I checked no on line 7a. It comes up in an error when I run smart check. It says 7a should be blank so I uncheck it. Run smart check again and says there is an error 7a is blank and gives option for yes or no. Click no and repeats again.....says error when run smart check says 7a should be blank..What is going on! I can't file because of some glitch in software. I can't seem to clear it it always comes back.
I have the same issue I entered interest manually but imported dividens and 1099Bs based on quantity from a managed account. How do I fix this.
Same frustrating issue.
Same issue...there is a software bug. Spent a lot of time to enter data. I should not have to delete all my data and imports to fix this just for it to happen again. Hope there is a fix for this bug soon.
I am running software from CD install on Windows. I checked for updates and says it is the latest version yet when I check no to 7A after running smar check it says to uncheck box, needs to be blank. When blank, smart check says to select a box for line 7...it s no win situation and I dont want to deleate all my data an start over, there must be a better solution. Others have said they did and problem is still there.
