It just feels like Intuit keeps trying to FORCE their clients to use their online version when a lot of us don't like their cloud versions, QB Online? Horrible, TurboTax Online? Horrible.. Why keep offering the desktop version of such software's if you don't plan on keeping a good service? It's January 15th and the Desktop version is still not up to date, and I WON'T be using TurboTax Online. Intuit better fix your product or simply start refunding every single client that has bought the Desktop version since is not providing the service that we are paying for!
@Smartie TurboTax software updates occur on the desktop and online editions on the same date.
See this TurboTax website for federal and state forms availability - https://form-status.app.intuit.com/tax-forms-availability/formsavailability?albRedirect=true&product...
It doesn't work and I keep getting no updates yet
That link doesn't even show 1099-NEC nor w2s.........

That link shows the federals and state forms, schedules that can be included in a tax return. It will not have any W-2 or 1099 forms.
There should be an update this week for entering W-2's and 1099's using the TurboTax desktop editions and the TurboTax Premium online edition.
Or you can use Quick Employer Forms here - https://quickemployerforms.intuit.com/home
this is getting old
The response xmasbaby0 has uploaded does not apply to the TurboTax Home and Business product. What is the point of purchasing this product if the necessary forms for filing are not going to be available and leave users subject to possible penalties.
I would hope that Turbo Tax will address this issue as soon as possible.
I have been in business 32 years. I transfer my employee/contractor file in from the previous year. Why in the WORLD would I use quick forms? Intuit needs to update the &^$% program, so I can print these off and be done with it. I have been reconciled and ready since Jan 2!
@CatinaT1 We don't WANT QUICK FORMS! FIX the PROGRAM!
I think we're getting the classic nudge here.
I spent 1 1/2 hrs on phone with well meaning but uninformed Intuit support staffers on 1/11 and was also advised to use online forms. For all of us who are discovering that Intuit is willing to sell but no longer interested in supporting DESKTOP products, I suggest saving our money and reporting directly to the government. For W-2s, register with SSA Business Services Online and file - yes - online, but at least it's a direct path to govt servers. For 1099s, also possible to report directly, either as issuer or 3rd party transmitter. Register with IRS - IRIS system (you need an EIN). We are all but being forced to eFile, but we don't have to pay Intuit for the privilege.
I am having the exact same issue. Why would they advertise a Desktop version with certain forms, to later find out that it ACTUALLY does not support the forms?? This is a SCAM. Turbotax needs to refund whoever is not able to file using desktop. Or FIX IT NOW! Unexcusable!
I agree 100%. I have reached out to my State Attorney General to report this fraudulent practice by Turbo Tax to try to force us to file our 1099s online. I suggest others do the same.
The windows program has been updated and the forms are avaialibe.
Are you sure tried getting them yesterday. Unless they done them overnight.
