I am having trouble accessing 2015's tax returns

If you filed your 2016 return using the TurboTax online Free edition -

When you sign onto your online account and are on the Welcome Home screen, click on My TurboTax at the top of the screen.  When you are on your 2016 tax timeline, under the section for SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO, click on Add a state (you will not be actually adding a state).  This will get you into your 2016 online tax return that you filed.

Click Upgrade, located near the top of your screen.  In the pop-up window, scroll down to the bottom, select TurboTax Plus, and click the Upgrade Now button.  (Note - if the Plus edition is grayed out then you are already using the Plus edition and you just need to pay for the Plus edition)

To pay for the upgrade so you can access your prior year tax returns, assuming that you signed onto your 2016 account with the exact same user ID you used for the prior returns -

To pay the TurboTax online account fees by credit card, click on My Account at the top of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. (Note - DO NOT click on Print or view a prior year return) On the next page, to pay by credit card, click Pay Now.  On the next screen just click on the Continue button.  The next screen will ask for all your credit card information so you can pay for the account.

You have to sign onto your 2015 online account using the exact same user ID you used to create the account.

Close all TurboTax windows on your web browser (including this one).  Copy and paste the account recovery website link onto a new web browser window and run the tool.

Use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of all the user ID's for an email address.  Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used - <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery">https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery</a>

If none of the user ID's received will access your 2015 account, then use the option shown in blue on the account recovery website, "Try something else"

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

I am able to log in just fine. I need to download a copy, though I am having trouble accessing them even though my account states that I have plus benefits.

Have you already filed your 2016 tax return or are you still working on the 2016 online tax return?

I seem to have plus benefits. Whenever I try to upgrade, plus is greyed out, but whenever I try to print 2015 it says that I need plus benefits.

I am having trouble accessing 2015's tax returns

I tried paying with a credit card, but it looks like it was deducted from the return. I tried going back to the file options but it doesn't have a payment option for me to choose from.
