Wondering if anyone filed their taxes through turbo tax and had their income calculated incorrectly.

My gross income is only 58379.33 and it calculated my federal adjusted income as 116,708. Im a single mom and cannot afford this ridiculous federal tax calculated due to this error.

Wondering if anyone filed their taxes through turbo tax and had their income calculated incorrectly.

YES, I did.  It happened March 21, 2021, immediately after I installed a downloaded update from 3/18/21.  My 1040 was e-filed 3/16/21 and accepted, showing a refund of $500+.  All my entries were double checked and correct.  (I know how to do tax returns by hand as well).  I hadn't printed my return for my records at that time, deciding to print at a later date.  3/21/21, before printing, when TT window opened announcing the update was available, I answered yes to install, which it did.  Immediately after opening the e-filed return, the refund had changed to (get this) $4,454!!!  After speaking w/a support rep over 70 minutes, to no avail, I called TT again on 3/24, 2 days ago, and spoke to a tax specialist for almost 2 hours.  I had figured the update (programming change? since 3/16) was screwy.  After combing through the numbers, I discovered that TT wasn't calculating/picking up the correct taxable income amount from my federal death benefit annuity, which worked fine on 3/16/21 at time of e-file.  The TT tax specialist saw it too on 3/24.  In fact, he said since the tax return had already been e-filed, it shouldn't have allowed the update to make any changes, but it had to have changed the calculation somehow for my taxable income to drop by over $20K between the 2 dates.  I posted my concern to the community on 3/22/21 as Almond Joy.
