WMR status bars and refund amount gone

My return was filed and accepted on 2/12.  On 2/24, I noticed the status bar was there and estimated refund amount was still there.  As of yesterday 2/26, the status bar is gone and the estimated refund amount is gone.  The message now reads, "Your tax return is still being processed.  A refund date will be provided when available." TT 152 provided.    I didn't file any credits (EIC, PTC, and etc), no insurance from the marketplace.  What could this mean?

When a return is still processing, it means the IRS is looking over your return. Most of the time refunds arrive within the 21 days, but some are delayed because or refund offsets in which case you will be notified by mail. Please refer to the information below.

Why do some refunds take longer than others?

Tax Topic 152 is general refund information. The IRS issues more than 9 out of 10 refunds in the normal time frame which is less than 21 days. However, it’s possible that some tax returns may require further review and could take longer to arrive. Please see the information below about Tax Topic 152: https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc152

You will receive your card prior to receiving your return.

Once the IRS approves and releases your refund, then the funds will be deposited onto your card.

You can track your return by clicking here

This will allow you to view the most up to date information for your refund, and view the direct deposit date once the refund has been approved.

My status bar hasn’t changed since last year and I’m yet to receive a refund of any kind

TurboTax does not receive updates from the IRS once they have accepted your return. The date given in TurboTax is an estimate of when you may receive your return. The IRS gives the actual deposit date and issues most refunds in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review. To find out where your refund is, first check your e-file status by using the link below:

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the status of your refund. You will find the most current information on their website.

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

The IRS releases most refunds within 21 calendar days after the e-filed return has been accepted (received), not 21 days from the e-filing date.

Please see below for more information on when you will receive your refund:

@jonathanljackson

You just posted on a thread that is more than a year old ... last year returns were taking a very long time to process due to covid restrictions and tax law changes.

All you can do now is check the IRS site every few days to see when the accepted return (for processing) finishes being processed and the refund is APPROVED for dispersal.  It would be nice if the system had more news to give other then "processing" but alas congress has not funded the IRS enough for them up upgrade this ancient system.

Thank you for clearing that up.
