Well y'all need to figure out what going on with people money that's y'all bank so it makes it look like y'all and y'all going catch a mean lawsuit over it. Cause I'm tired of waiting for my money so y'all better do something
TurboTax gets no information about your refund after you file your tax return. You used do-it-yourself software. The IRS does not tell TurboTax anything after you use that software and file your tax return.
Your tax refund was not sent to TurboTax. TurboTax does not handle your refund at all.
Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.

@Plum4209**bleep** shame these ppl are still allowed to play with folks hard earned money. As I stated prior you’d need to reach out to the federal reserve and have them intervene. I had to as I have waited **bleep** near a whole new tax season for my money. It was finally returned to the IRS (As they finally see it in their system) and I should be receiving it the end of this month. If you don’t take legal action or reach out to hierarchy, they’ll continue to hold/build interest on those funds until you give up!!! Ignore them stating “It was returned”, on their OWN behalf, if they don’t have hierarchy over their heads, you’ll continue to reach a dead end. Thank God I only sent one indemnity bond form and fought for what’s rightfully mines!!! Take those steps and don’t waste your time calling or waiting on this folks alone. Good luck!!
Please STOP insulting peoples intelligence with these hilarious responses. We all FILED through TT, that’s exactly why we’re here. It’s their responsibility to professionally oversee the dishonor on behalf of the BANK they’ve chose to issue the funds. It’s sickening and wrong on all levels.

Short and sweet answer. They are holding your money for the interest benefit and possibly to remain solvent. We had the largest refund we have ever had. Eventually after a we sent a certified letter and they apparently refused to accept. We tracked the letter. We went to our senators office. We did finally get the money sent back to the IRS. SBTPG suggested our refund was "highly unusual" with that being the reason they returned it to the IRS. The IRS has now held onto it for a couple of months but they sent us an interest check! The entire situation is frustrating. My husband has gone back to the senators office and back to the tax office. I expect we will be getting our refund soon. I would give this advice. If you use turbotax buy the program on a disk. Don't ask for any services. Don't accept any special or additional services. Mail in any payment if it is due. It is probably safest to print out your return and send it in as well. Turbotax has lost class action suits before due to it's business practices and will likely be facing more. Tell your friends not to use TurbTax. They are responsible for the services they offer even if it is administered by a separate entity.
See what you don't understand tt is who we go through to do out taxes that's y'all bank not our so y'all are reasonable for any that goes on because that's who y'all go through tt got there money as soon as it got sent to the bank account yet I have to wait 10-12 weeks not to include the year wait I waited for the IRS and now it's now not back and the time frame is up so you can say what you want you going catch a case b
Do you know how I contact the federal reserve? IRS told me to call FDIC who told me to call consumer affairs but they said they are not sure if this falls under their scope so I'm at a loss. I'm so tired of their game. It's ridiculous. We should all file a mass lawsuit.
I call them this morning they told me to go to the website federalreserveconsumerhelp.gov file a complaint with is on the side of the page and go from there but yea we should cause this ridiculous to me and tt not making it any better

Has anyone received an update? FDIC said they can't help since it's not an actual bank and federal consumer reserve has closed my complaint because they haven't been able to contact the bank. I'm no longer able to speak to anyone at SBTG as when it asks for my social now it says no match and hangs up.
I don’t know but it’s Feb 10th, 2023 now and I still haven’t received my taxes that IRS sent SBTPG on March 9th, 2022! I’m literally 4 weeks away from being 1 whole year that SBTPG has held onto my funds!
They claimed that they were sending it back to the IRS and that it would take 10-12 weeks to do so but it is now 48 WEEKS!
I will never use TurboTax or any affiliated company EVER AGAIN and will continue to spread the word as much as possible.
That's the same thing they are telling me. I've been waiting since April 20th 2022. They keep saying that the funds are in the process of being returned to the IRS. They are full of **bleep**. I can't even call them anymore to follow up. It's total BS.
This will be my last year doing this wth turbo tax we obviously need these funds and the fact that they are being held by this bank and I am paying 167 bucks for doing my taxes and from what I am seeing you are not earning that paycheck. We want our money the same day not when they decide to release them this is ridiculous
