Where do I sign and date my printed return?

This is the first time I'm unable to file electronically. I printed my return, and the instructions say to make sure I sign and date it, but I can't find a single place to do that!

Bottom of the 1040 page 2.  Look at the end of your state return.

Why can't you efile?  Is the AGI rejecting?

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

I absolutely have nothing like that on my 1040. I have looked through every page three times as well as asked my partner to do so for me. Neither of us can find anywhere where a signature is requested.

There is only one 1040 form.  Everyone files a 1040.  What do you have?  Is it a 1040SR?

The 1040SR is 3 pages. You sign on the bottom of page 3.

Are you using Online TurboTax or desktop software (CD/download)?

If you have the PDF, when you view the PDF, do you see Page 3?   If so, you can print it from the PDF application.

@ihito5665   What is pages 9-12?  You don't send the worksheets or backup detail pages.  Just the 1040 and IRS schedules and forms.  They will have a Sequence # in the top right.  Plus any separate state return.

What state?   The signature line will be at the bottom of the tax return.   The federal 1040 is 2 pages, so you sign on page 2.    But each state return is different.  Some are one page, some are multiple pages.  @ihito5665
