Where can I find information about telecommuting expenses approval?

I was not able to use my telecommuting, work from home expenses from 2018.  It said I needed prior approval?  Where can I get that information/form for next year?

Unfortunately, telecommuting expenses for W2 wage earners have been eliminated as deductions under the new tax laws. 

However, the IRS is encouraging employers to reimburse employees for these expenses. 

You need to check with your employer to determine if they will approve and reimburse your job related expenses.
