per the available forms listing, 03-26-2021 is the 1040X available date
before they were saying the 25th I even have messages from them stating that what are they going to do now change the date day by day 😠
Today is March 25.......whats going on with the 1040X?
I've read in a couple of places that this form, 1040x will be available online today, 3/25. It's not there and I have updated TurboTax. Anybody know the latest?

The IRS Form 1040-X for amending a 2020 tax return is scheduled to be available on 03/26/2021 (subject to change)

it is the 25th tick tok tick tok,,, I wish they would hurry as I am under severe time constraints by the government from another dept who has a deadline when I must submit to them my forms!!
What do you need to amend on a 2020 return that can possibly have a time constraint ?

Intuit said it will be ready March 25. That is today but no update.
FYI *** dates are always subject to change AND Intuit is a west coast company so most updates don't happen until after 5pm west coast time.
A question I answered when I did my 2020 return caused a <$300 CREDIT> AGI. When I filed the return, not realizing the problem, Turbo Tax told me I wouldn't be able to file an amended return until the 1040X form was available on 3/24. I checked again today and Turbo Tax shows the form still unavailable, but I googled it with the IRS and they say the form is available. I did not file my AZ return because of the glitch, but I need to file it. I assume when I am able to correct the problem with the 1040, that the change will come thru to the Fed AGI on the AZ return and correct the AZ return. When can I prepare and file the 1040X with Turbo Tax? Patricia H ([email address removed])

An amended return, Form 1040X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 16 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.
Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
See this TurboTax support FAQ on amending a tax return originally completed and filed using the 2020 TurboTax editions - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/amending/help/how-do-i-amend-my-return/01/27439

If you did not file the AZ original return the you cannot AMEND it ... you must print , ink sign and mail in an original return. If you only mail in an amended return it will be returned to you unprocessed.
I need to send now
I moved from an overseas assignment and the government shipped my household goods then charged me for the move as income, to offset the 6k debt incurred I must amend my 2020 tax and add the recent w2 travel that came after I had already filed taxes. The government (DOD) has a time limit when I must submit a RITA which requires the tax documents to determine how much will be offset, if not done on time I will be sent a dirtbag letter (DEBT), and my pay will be garnished till the balance is paid.. what really sucks is when I accepted the job back in 2010 the government moved my household goods and I was not charged for it nor was it added as income but in 2016 I think they created this new legislation as a way to screw people who are working for the American public ( I try to take care of the equipment you all buy and teach your sons and daughters how to take care of the equipment, sometimes wonder why when I get burnt like this...
