What does "Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available." Exactly mean?

the system for filing returns I have been waiting for my refund for 5 months next time I prefer to continue as in the old days to paper with a human being in front of these apps do not work they see the stupid face they charge you and they do not work as they have to work not doing a good job turbo tax does not work at all well my second year with them and the crap system is a problem

I am in this same position. Taxes accepted 2/8, had to amend a month later. Still processing as of today. No one can help. From

what I can estimate this has held up my stimulus as well. Payment tool for irs stimulus payment says I am eligible and they will direct deposit in my account, yet I have no direct deposit date and this message hasn’t changed since I put my banking info in on in April.  I have called everywhere to no avail. Turbo tax couldn’t care less.

I filed Feb 6th. I got a letter from them march 23. Saying it was in review to check and make sure everything is correct. Today is May 25th and im still waiting. Im sure the virus will make it longer. I guess im going to have to go through a tax advocate. I need that money.

Last year I didn't get my refund till July. I had call the IRS. The same this year. I filed last January and it is May still no income tax. I got my state which I never get and stimulates check. Tired of it.

I filed on 2/19. I called after it was due and they said it was ok it’s just backlogged. Then I got a letter stating to fill out for 8379 for health plan. When I did turbo tax nothing offered me that form. So they said after forty days not hearing they would just do what they have to and send me the refund. I still didn’t get that either. I have form 8379 I had pulled off irs site it’s so confusing I totally do not understand it. I have MS. I don’t know what to do at this point but I’m also angry because turbo took my money which was almost 150 cause I do two states as well and I didn’t get my refund. You are supposed to offer help and I have used you guys for years with multiple family members. Is it possible you guys can take the info and send the form in for me? I spend a lot of money with you and I feel when I filled this out it should have offered me the form to begin with. Please let me know ASAP. I am desperate for the money. I have to pay my dr in cash because he is not on the plan and it costs me a couple hundred a month plus my stack of medical bills. Please help me. I have no where to go I have no way of getting anywhere I can’t drive and I just want my refund

A Form 8379 is for reporting an Injured Spouse Allocation for a federal tax refund.  That form is not normally filed for any type of health plan.

Hello, I am also on the same boat. After, 3 months waiting and no update I called the IRS Advocate number [phone number removed]. Just be ready to be on the hold for a good minute. Once, they answered me and couldn’t provide me with any response. I was transferred again waited another 2 hours on hold. Supposedly, they haven’t processed my return is due to W2 not being submitted from one of my employers. So, now to wait for god know how much longer. 😣 I hope you get your issue resolved soon!

Ok so yes I spoke with someone at the stimulus number and they had to transfer me to a irs rep who I spoke to after 59min wait. It’s said starting in May 18th they started processing tax returns for efile again so need to give 21 days from this date then once that is processed the stimulus payment should update with 3 business days and now will come in a prepaid card

Let's be real, there were no updates to the WMR tool during the initial shut down. How ever, after speaking with someone live Tuesday. They updated the tool between Friday night and Saturday morning. I now have a DDD and it's only 2 days away fingers crossed crossed!!!

Same here. Filed March 3rd, accepted March 4th. I got my state return 2 weeks ago, but nothing on federal yet. I hope you get your stimulus soon. I got mine randomly around 9pm last Friday (direct deposit) and it and it still doesn't give a date on the app lol

My return says the same thing except I finally last week got ahold of a Human yep at the IRS. You have to use the phone number that ends in 1040. It will prompt you to hit certain buttons on your phone. Hit for english is you are not spanish. Then it will ask if its a personal return, I hit for a business because each of the 45 times the prior week it dumped me saying they were to busy. It will ask for your social , don't enter it. It will ask twice. It will then send you to a person explain you were speaking with someone about your personal taxes after holding for over an hour and got disconnected. The nice lady transferred me but I had to hold 1hour 45 minutes. I got an answer and I now can resolve why I have not gotten my return. It was worth holding. I went through H&R block to do my taxes and I took out the xtra stuff so I would not have to do this but they we USELESS. I hope this helps.

I pass the big IRS facility in Austin Texas every day. The parking lot has more and more cars in it every week. Not sure about when they will be fully functional but it is a sign of hope for things to get better.
