Upload 2019 tax documents filed from desktop application to turbotax cloud.

Hi,

I filed 2019 tax returns using TurboTax desktop application instead of TurboTax online. when I log in to TurboTax online account I am able to access the tax documents since 2016 which were filed using TurboTax online but couldn't find a way to upload my 2019 tax documents filed using TurboTax desktop application or any other way to import these tax documents from application to online.

Please let me know if there is a way to upload these documents online so that I can access all my previous tax documents in cloud irrespective of filing tax returns via online or desktop application.

You can only transfer a 2019 Desktop return into the 2020 online version.  You can't store it online with your online returns.  It is only saved and stored on your computer so be sure to save a backup of both the .tax2019 and pdf files.

Both previous advises are valid,  especially not being able to upload 2019 desktop to 2019 TurboTax online version, for the convenience of record keeping.  However for record keeping purpose, you can [UPLOAD] and store your official desktop 2019 filed record (or any other tax related docs) in the TT online cloud, under year  "2019" in "Documents" tab /or/ "MY DOCS" section.  While these uploaded document info are not transferred to 2019 online version, you will have the record stored online so you may retrieve it later from anywhere and be free of worry from losing the saved file. 

TT says "With MyDocs™, easily upload and access your tax documents in one safe and secure place.

Keep in mind that the info on your uploaded documents will not be added to your tax return."

I uploaded my filed 2019 pdf to "MY DOCS" under 2019 year and was able to download back later easily.

Thanks for your answer. I found my docs section under 2018 when I filed using online. It says I need to get Plus benefits for $30 to upload my documents even though in some places it says it is included with TurboTax Deluxe, premier, and above products. I purchased Turbotax Deluxe CD for 2019 and a TurboTax premier CD for 2020. How can I use this to get plus benefits which is included with Deluxe and above? Please help me figure this out. Thanks.

That's probably only a benefit when you use the Online version not the Desktop CD/Download program .  Call support and ask.
