I just filed my taxes, basically W2 only. Why did turbotax force me to get the "live turbotax premium" option for $209? There was no option to select anything else.
I did not use any live representative to help me file taxes nor did I choose that option. I called a representative who said that turbo tax itself thinks I should use that plan so it automatically upgraded me to live. The representative said I cannot change it and that is the way it is. How do I contest this? Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I am in the same boat. I clicked on the same button thinking, since this is the only option to file with turbotax, I went through with it and assumed that it would ask me later to use the benefits in order to get billed by for it. Yet now here I am with them asking me to pay $209 for no reason. If you get an answer could you let me know as well? Thanks. Might call another time.

How can I see my TurboTax fees?

If your TurboTax fees are higher than expected, you can reduce them by removing add-ons:

Thanks for the info and the links!
From what I can gather, it sounds like since I submitted my Turbo Tax already, my options are limited. Restarting and clearing may have been an option if I had not submitted it, but it was not something I knew (and I'm guessing many people didn't know either based on the amount of people asking about very similar issues). The customer service rep said I can always submit a request to challenge it, but any requests will almost certainly be denied per him.
