Turbotax closed my card, now I can't get my stimulus check?

With it saying it can't find my Information on my card, does that mean they've closed it, then, and I have to wait for a paper check instead? Because I've had the same card since receiving my taxes and Stimulus earlier in the year, used it a few times since, and now it can't find my information. I can't get a hold of someone to speak to either and I'm confused.

I had a turbo card and had my tax fee taken from my tax refund in March so the turbo tax card is useless to the IRS because it goes to a 3rd party or some crap. So I got a stimulus check April 25th. Hope that helps. I know if anyone got an advance or had tax fee taken from refunds, they got a check in the mail the 1st time.

They’ve done the same thing to my account too and never sent me anything.. now I can’t get anyone to answer when I call or it’s just a busy signal!! I will keep trying I guess ... :(

TurboTax has NO control over your stimulus check, nor can TT track it or tell you when you will receive it.  The IRS will use the same banking information for the 2nd stimulus that they used for the first one.  If that account (or card) is closed then the stimulus will go back to the IRS and they will mail you a check.  See this information from the IRS:

Every time I call to check my card or try to get a new one it says it can't help me because the account info is incorrect, I received my last stimulus and refund on that card no problem. I checked the website and it told me to keep the same card but when I checked the balance it can't find the card and they wont let me reorder another one. I recieved no reason as to why they deactivated my card.

Hey . Did you get a answer to your question? I'm wondering the same thing . For some reason my card is closed and I can't get in online and people are getting there second stimulus. Noone is answering on the phone was on hold for two hours and they just went click . So aggravating.

Turbo tax seems to have f****d alot of people by closing our accounts so we cant get our stimulus money and in the middle of a pandemic and their response is well it will be sent back and mailed you know how many people moved since then!!! just a **bleep** move shame on turbo tax five year customer and im done!! This was a punch in the gut after a all ready horrible year!!

Because there is a monthly fee to keep the card active the card is automatically closed if you have a zero or negative  balance for a few months in a row ... this is standard practice  for any pre paid debit cards and is in the user agreement that came with the card.  If it wasn't you would have to keep paying every month for the right to keep the dormant account open.  

Now the good news ... if the deposit is made to a dormant account and gets rejected then the money will be returned and be reissued as a check to the address on the last filed return.  If you don't get the money by  1/20 then you will get it on the 2020 return you file next year.

Dormant cards with a zero balance are closed automatically ... this is SOP for prepaid debit cards.
