Turbo Tax told me that my refund was accepted, when I went to irs.gov I saw that my refund was pending not accepted. Is this an issue? Do I need to re-file?

No, there is no need to re-file. The government now has that return. Accepted in TurboTax just means the government has received your return; it's the status of the tax return, not the refund. The status will no longer update in TurboTax and will remain as accepted from here on out since the IRS now has that return.

Your federal return will show pending until the IRS either accepts or rejects your return. The IRS may be working on a backlog of returns at this time, so it can sometimes take longer than the initial 24-48 hours before you know if they have accepted or rejected your return. And the state will remain in pending status until after federal has been accepted.

As long as it's pending, you know that it's still on the way to them. But you will get an email when your return goes from pending status to Accepted or Rejected

Also, once you've been accepted, wait at least 24 hours before you use the IRS Where's My Refund? site. If you jump the gun, you may be told – incorrectly – that you never filed.

And state can be tracked by going here How do I track my state refund?

According to Turbotax,  my refund was accepted in February 12, 2021.  I cant seem to find any update information on my return.  My daughter filed a week later and already has her refund.  Can some one update my status and provide a date I should receive my refund

Your refund is handled by the IRS or your state office therefore TurboTax won't be able to assist with the refund processing and release of your refund. There have been some reports that Where's My Refund has not updated recently but you should check back daily as the system is updated once a day.

According to the IRS website What to expect for Refunds This Year more than 9 out of 10 refunds are issued in less than 21 days after the IRS accepts the tax return when you e-file and choose direct deposit as your refund choice.

For more on the timing of your refund please see this TurboTax FAQ.

Accepted does not mean Approved.

Accepted only means the IRS verified some basic info on it so they know it's really from you.  After it is Accepted the IRS processes it then approves it before they send the refund.

Turbo Tax can't find out anything for you.  Once the IRS accepts your return for processing then Turbo Tax is done with their part.  Now it's just between the IRS and you.

A common adjustment is if you claimed the Recovery rebate credit on 1040 line 30 when you already got the Stimulus payment or got the second one after you filed or reported the wrong amounts or entered them in the wrong box.  Do you have an amount on line 30?
