TT is not asking for my AGI

My wife and I filed separately last year but are filing jointly this year for the first time. My return was rejected due to an incorrect spouse’s AGI, however, the number that I entered for her matches both last year‘s return and the transcript. It is only asking for her AGI and not mine. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?  I have also tried entering zero and that did not work.

The IRS requires your 2018 AGI to verify your identity for e-filing. If you're paper-filing your return, you won't need your AGI because those are manually processed.

The best place to get last year's AGI is from the 1040 form you filed for 2018. Look on page 2, line 7. If you filed a 1040NR, it'll be on line 35. You won't find your AGI on your W-2 or 1099 form because those forms don't take into account over a dozen above-the-line deductions that go into calculating your AGI. If you have tried all of this with no resolve, you can contact us.

Thanks for your response.  Finding my wife’s AGI is not the issue. I have entered that correctly and it was rejected, so I tried entering zero and it was rejected again.  I pulled the number directly from her 2018 1040 as well as the IRS transcript. My question is, why is it not asking for my AGI as well, instead of just hers,  since this is the first year that we have filed jointly? Thanks.

TT is not asking for my AGI

"... When you get ready to file, indicate that you each filed your own returns last year. Then, enter the 2018 adjusted gross income (AGI) from each spouse's respective return.

To prevent a rejection, don't combine your 2018 AGIs into a single number, even if that seems to make sense to you."  Ref: TurboTax How do we handle our AGI if we used Married Filing Separately in 2018 but are filing jointly in 2019...

Thank you Leonard. That is the other issue.  At no point did it ask whether we filed our own returns last year. The only place that I saw that throughout the entire process was when I first started in the personal info section. It only asked how I wanted to file this year, and I chose married filing jointly.  I’ve seen it referenced that it will ask this just prior to filing but it is not doing that.
