This has nothing to do with taxable income. It has to do with the Recovery Rebate Credit. Millions of taxpayers have sent tax returns reporting they never received the 3rd stimulus payment but the IRS has records showing that the stimulus payment was sent, so the IRS removed the Recovery Rebate Credit from the Form 1040 Line 30 thereby reducing their federal tax refunds.

Additionally, TurboTax does not receive any kind of tax refund, federal or state.

I am having the same issue with TPG holding my refund. $153 is what TPG owes and they sent $36. I only see "canned" responses from Turbo Tax with no actual conversation as to why they chose a 3rd party to distribute funds. Direct Deposit info hasn't changed, TPG thinks it has, TPG holds funds, TPG says I don't exist, Turbo Tax says they will reach out and "resolve" the issue. Turbo Tax has not resolved the issue, I expect TPG to be sued over the thousands of comments with the same problem, I will not use Turbo Tax going forward. Canned responses don't "solve" anything if TPG can't find my information, and Turbo Tax pushes off all responsibility. What a time to steal from people and the brunt of the responsibility falls on Turbo Tax for poor decision making, it's really that simple. Turbo Tax is irrelevant to me in terms of getting taxes done going forward. An absolute disgrace!
Turbo tax and SBTPG are theives. They cashed the IRS check 2/24/2022 and still are holding the entire $12,000.00. They are doing this to so many. They need stopped!
Yes this is NOT OKAY!!! How is this being resolved? I still have not received any help in getting my full refund. I do not owe any monies to the fiscal dept.
There is a problem. TPG has only posted $660.16 of my $1783.00 refund. This was after they took out my $29.99 fee, which was fine… However the IRS site shows that my refund was sent at the amount of $1783.00… When I call the IRS numbers, I am told that was the amount sent, but that is not what TPG reflects. I do NOT owe anything to the IRS fiscal department. I was told I would receive a letter showing a reduced amount to $1783… This letter was supposedly sent on 3/14/22. The deposit was from TPG was on 3/23/22… I cannot get through to a PERSON, but I see that this is not because I OWE anything. I cannot get through to a person on the IRS site… At this time I am going to wait for this supposed letter, and follow up with the local tax office if I can make an appt at the In.gov site…. I WILL NEVER USE TURBO TAX AGAIN! NEVER!! CAN anyone tell me why the BANKING SERVICES that the IRS uses and IRS are having so many problems, to which there is NOT ANY REAL PERSON available to deal with these issues, is set up for us as a good system to use? More importantly, can anyone get me the remainder of my refund of $1122.84???
Im having the same issue to the tune of about $1200, pretty unfortunate after being a customer for over 10 years to have to look else where next year. This is theft.
My deposit date was the 24th of Feb and still no funds 1st it was my bank rejected my funds which I've use the same info well over 10yrs. Then its we sent your check out on the 4th of March and here it is the 28th still no check so I requested to have my refund sent back to the irs and now they telling me I can't until at least a week to process that request. I know this is my last and final year using this company never in my years of filing have I ever dealt with anything like this. They're definitely holding people funds.😡
After looking through responses from both tax filers as well as Turbo Tax in this forum, it sounds like this has been an issue since the beginning of February that they have been 'working on' for well over a month.
Yet, here I am, $1500 short on my TPG deposit and completely unable to reach someone via TurboTaxes support line... which I've been disconnected from twice now.
I am beyond frustrated with the service or lack of service I have received from TPG. They received my refund from the IRS on 03/01/2022 but haven't deposited the funds in my bank account even though my refund status on the TPG site says 'funded'. After several calls and waiting on hold for hours only to be hung up on and after several call back requests beginning on 03/07, I finally got a call back from one of their reps on 03/21 (waited over 4 hours for the call back). Their rep claimed that my bank rejected my refund, which I think is a complete LIE because I confirmed the account information I entered on their agreement form is correct (compared it to my bank statement). Not to mention it is the same information Turbo Tax has used for the past 5 years to direct depot my refund with absolutely no problems or delays. This is the first time I've ever used TPG's service and this experience has guaranteed it will be the last time and I will tell everyone I know to avoid them like the Plague. During the call on 03/21, the rep claimed they mailed me a check on 03/11 that I'm still waiting on and to top that off, they took an additional $30.00 out of my refund with no explanation why. It pisses me off that they've had my money for almost a month and have not emailed me, sent a letter in the mail or made a call to me to say that there was an issue with my direct deposit request. This is the worst service and company I have ever encountered in my entire life. I honestly don't know how they are still in business and from reading some of the over 400 comments from other tax payers that are having a problem with getting their refund from TPG, I think we may have the makings of a class action lawsuit against this sorry excuse of a company. I will talk to one of our attorneys that I work with to see what options we have to get our money from these crooks as soon as possible. I will add to this post with what my findings.

My money is SUPPOSED to be here tomorrow , I’m not even waiting for the problems !!! My stepmother is an attorney she’s already on it for me . So hopefully , this won’t be happening for much longer and I’ll even make sure I get punitive and emotional damages. I need this return like yesterday . Their not playing with me guarantee. During a pandemic too and rising everything in price!!!!! Turbo Tax will be in allot of trouble!!!
Did you get yours? Mine said funded this morning and TPG supposedly sent a direct deposit to my account today. But I don't see it in my account yet. Called the bank, they don't see any deposit information yet. Reading all of these posts is making me worried :(
No, I haven't gotten my money yet. If you're lucky enough to get someone on the phone, they're probably going to tell you the same thing they told me and several others: the bank rejected your deposit so a cashier's check was sent. My check was supposedly sent on 03/11 but I haven't received it yet. Good luck with getting any real help from TPG!
