TPG is holding funds, TT unable to be reached

Yes, going straight to the Better Business Bureau they were able to start the process and file a claim against them. I’ve never seen TPG respond so quickly. They responded saying that they would waive their fees, and that my refund was being held for one of five different reasons then they went down the list of reasons which I am in none of those categories of reasons. I do not owe back taxes,  I do not owe student loans,  I do not have security issues, they have all my correct routing information. They are blatantly lying in their response. They also did not give any information on how to resolve any “issue“ that is happening with my refund. I have taken pictures of everything including not only their response to me through their website which states they have not received my refund , and I have also taken pictures of the response they sent me through the BBB saying that they have my refund  are holding it for security reasons. No one has ever emailed me,  sent a letter a phone call or anything to resolve any kind of issue that is happening,  and so the Better Business Bureau asked if I want to accept or reject there attempt to resolve the problem. So I rejected it again I sent  a very specific detailed reason why this is fraud and this is illegal and compared it to the thousands of complaints that are exactly like mine on the Better Business Bureau. I am awaiting a response. There is no reason they should be holding anyone’s earned money except that they are holding it purposefully to sit and collect interest in their bank account.   Something needs to be done and I feel like if everyone goes to the Better Business Bureau and files a complaint and also goes to the IRS (if you can get a hold of anyone there) and file a complaint some kind of investigation has to happen because this is 100% illegal and fraud

Exactly, it’s too much of a coincidence that this is happening to so many people in the exact same way at the exact same time. Someone decided to create some kind of scheme at TPG, I am not being paranoid here I am being proactive with all of the information that I’m seeing. They are sitting on thousands of people‘s earned income that the IRS said “hey we’ve taken too much of your salary here’s your refund” no problems with the IRS the problem is with TPG. When you read all the responses on the Better Business Bureau it is so disheartening that nothing has been done about this there needs to be a lawyer involved for all parties because this is such fraud and there’s no way this can be legal

Unfortunately that’s exactly what they want you to do. So they can continue to hold your money and collect interest on it. I encourage you to go to the Better Business Bureau and read the thousands of complaints with the exact same problem. Hopefully it will empower you to make a stand with the rest of us that this is not OK and this is not legal

Just talk to tpg over the phone they told me if any one filed before February are haveing system issues and that there trying to fix it I told them I recorded them and they said that's fine and told me it will be fixed soon. As they can fix it

My money was sent February 24th . Thanks to them lying about directing my money in my account . I’m sitting waiting as my children spring break is here with nothing . How long are you gonna hold my money ?? Are they aware they have to them send my interest for holding my money ?? The irs sends interest after 30 days . Can’t wait to receive my money and the date so I can sue

If they are holding funds because of who someone owes or offsets or whatever, that is the responsibility of the IRS.  I don't see where TPG would have the authority to hold a tax return because of that.  What they're suppose to be doing is taking out the fees and sending us our money. It's obvious this bank doesn't care about customers or the financial hardship they're causing some customers.  I have filed a complaint with the attorney general's office cause I am tired and exhausted with this.  File a consumer complaint with the attorney general's office where you leave.  It's free.  Best of luck to you

i finally got to speak to someone after being on hold for an hr only for them to tell me that my refund is what the irs sent them. i have filed my taxes the same way for years with turbo tax and never had a problem until this year. my refund was almost 4000 and i only got 994 of that.  i went on the irs website i dont owe any debts of offsets, called the taxation dept and i dont owe anyone so im just confused on how money disappears like that. people look forward to this money and for turbo tax to not care is beyond me

I have had my identity stolen twice. I have never authorized any third party from turbotax to release information such as my SSN and bank account information. I would like to see what consent I gave TT for a third party to be used in our agreement ( our agreement = you file my taxes for X amount of fees )

I understand TT policy of it going to a third party if you chose to pay your fees through refund. But im TELLING you it is illegal to authorize a third party without permission. So im asking for proof of my permission or proof that I dont have to give permission for anything because you can't provide either of those so your effective policy is outright illegal. 

It is not up to me to deal with TPG because I never authorized them to be in our "deal"

Unless you can prove otherwise. This is legitimately the only way to get an answer so im genuinely asking TT support for proof that I authorized a third party in our deal or documentation stating otherwise. 

Because my further action if those aren't provided is simply going to be going after TT. Who cares if TPG has our money when they were never even supposed to have it to begin with. Does not matter to me one bit what TPG is doing with my money because I never authorized them or authorized TT on my behalf to give it to them. TPG actions are ALL on TT unless TT can provide a signed contract stating I authorized involvement

SBTPG tax processing is a CLIENT based service. I am NOT a client of SBTPG just a customer of turbo tax. Turbo tax is a client of TPG. I do not pay for TPG services ( although apparently we are ) 

Turbotax legimately has their own TPG client account page with access to more information than we can possibly have. 

Hardships from pending lawsuits need to be used to campaign against TT because quite frankly this is too big of a thing to **bleep** around with on top of TT other lawsuit. This company needs to **bleep**ing stop being a company.

My fed refund is also $1,500 short.  I've used TT every year since 2008.  I think this was the last time.
