Did you e-file? Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?
Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?”
Note: If it says “Ready to Mail” or “Printed” that means YOU have to mail it yourself. TurboTax does not mail your tax return for you.
It's was done with tt on 01-13-2021 it was sent to the irs and accepted on 02-10-2021 I did get the email. I have checked wmr and my transcripts which the trans show no return and wmr says We cannot provide any information about your refund. You must wait at least 24 hours after you get the acknowledgement e-mail that your tax return was received by the IRS my 21 days is 03-05-2021
Im in the same boat....filed 4 Feb, IRS accepted 12 Feb and when I check on my status IRS says no record. What now?
If it has been 21 days since y our return has been accepted, you can contact the IRS by clicking here. They will be able to see the status of your return.
I called the irs and they can still not find my return....?
@meganml11, if the IRS accepted your return and you are checking the status by using the Where's My Refund? site, that is only updated once a day and it takes up to 24 hours for the IRS to post it, so that means it could take almost 2 days before the IRS will report that they have it. You would just need to continue checking the status using the Where's My Refund? site.
The IRS issues most refunds from e-filed returns in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review. If it's been longer than 21 days since you e-filed and you still have not received your refund you would need to reach back out to the IRS again.
It shows accept on 02/10 on tt but not at all through the irs or wmr both say they have not received anything.......?
This is normal. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. The IRS began processing returns on 2/12, you may not find a record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund tool for updates. Updates are made daily, usually overnight.
