Is there any way for me to change the account my tax refund is going to?
I already filed but my bank closed down the account I used for direct deposit.

Sorry, no. Once the tax return has been filed and accepted by the IRS the method of receiving the tax refund cannot be changed.
Since the refund is going to a closed account the bank will reject the deposit and return the refund to the IRS. The IRS will then mail a refund check to the address on the tax return.
From the date that the deposit got returned, how long does the irs usually take to issue a paper check?

If everything at the IRS is working properly it usually takes at least 10 business days for the IRS to issue and mail the check.
