Please know that is the IRS that has to approve your return, not Turbo Tax. It varies, but normally it takes 24-48 hours. Also, the identity-protection safeguards implemented by the IRS in recent years may account for longer wait times. Eventually, you will receive an email letting you know whether or not your return has been accepted or rejected. TurboTax FAQ "What does Pending mean? "states, "Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet.
E-filed returns generally sit in Pending status for 24-48 hours before coming back as either Accepted or Rejected. Sometimes state returns stay in Pending for several days or even longer. If you contact the government or try to look up your refund status while your return is still pending, don't be surprised if they tell you "no record found." This is normal; until the government starts reviewing and processing your return, they won't have any record of it."
What does "Pending" mean?
Mine is saying pending since the 2/13/23 I believe there is a problem with Turbo tax. My sons went through and he has his federal taxes but it still says pending and we received an email saying there was a problem with the stated but of course the desktop version says pending on both. I believe we need a better response than we are impatient.
If your state has not gone through, then it would not be processed. What was the error that came through with your state exactly?

If your return is Pending, it means your e-filed return is on its way and the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet. Please see What does pending mean? for more detailed information.
Once the IRS has accepted your e-filed return, you can check the status of your refund by going directly to: https://www.irs.gov/refunds
Additionally, you can check out this Help Article for instructions on how to track your state refund.
I E-filed and the status is pending. the reject stated that a school loan deduction was in error because my income was too much. So I went in the return and removed the deduction.
Now how do I resubmitt, the program offers no solution.
If your return was rejected, you may follow these steps to fix it and resubmit @rbrandt21 .
Thank you very much.
It is still pending 7 days later. I need technical support as there is something wrong with the actual program. My son received his federal, but it still says pending. I am very frustrated with being unable to actually talk with someone I will not be doing TT again d/t this lack of help available with your program there is nothing wrong with the actual taxes.
The phone number listed doesn't work it just hangs up on you....
I have spent hours reading through various posts here and I've gotten more annoyed the longer I kept reading some of the answers that TurboTax is providing.
Please put away your scripts for a moment and READ THE QUESTION OR CONCERN
People are telling you over and over that they got a rejection email, regardless of the reason, they received a rejection. It doesn't seem your program is updating the filing status correctly or in a timely fashion.
How do I know this? Today I've spent entirely too much time troubleshooting your product to figure out why a return I submitted shows pending in TurboTax (desktop) but yet I have emails over 24 hours old showing it was rejected for missing IP PIN (that part is my bad). You can click on the "check e file status" button all that you want...it doesn't do anything. There is absolutely NO WAY TT can provide a response that quickly....less than a second when it takes 1+ minutes to actually open the program.
I could be wrong (its known to happen) but I'm 90% sure an error is occurring when trying to update the status on the local copy of the return, and is really only showing the last status it did receive. There should be some sort of connection status log that can be easily checked by your customers to verify that it did what it was supposed to when they clicked on the button.
Last but not least, when it still shows pending, you can't go click on "fix a return" because it doesn't exist until the error is registered within your product.
This is what led me to thinking it's an error:
23:21:40:808 wPerScm.2022.47.18.40 Error occured in EFERestReply::ProcessStatusCheckReply()
23:21:40:809 wPerScm.2022.47.18.40 GetEFERestStatusResponse ..\ManagedEasyStep\FilingStatus.cpp FilingStatus::GetEFERestStatusResponse line 543, zpError: error code = 0

My Colorado tax was finally accepted. It seems Colorado had issues getting their system up and running.
My state tax was accepted hours from the transmission. With the fed I never received a reject or acceptance email. They both remain in pending. I went into the IRS web site and found my return was received and my refund approved and i wi8ll get it on 2/28. Keep in mind if I check the file status both state and federal indicate they are pending. There is obviously a problem with Turbo Tax this year. I tried to call support and talked only to a machine and it went in circles. So much for their support.
I did not any kind of reply from turbo tax within 48 hrs. It's been 23 days.
