TurboTax counts weekends and the IRS doesn't I dealt with this last year and my bar was full for 3 months before I received my refund.
Ignore the blue bar. It does not mean anything except that 21 days has passed. TurboTax does not get any updates from the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

I'm going through the same thing. Filed on 30th
So is it possible to tell how you got in contact. I’ve called and still only got an automated telling me it’s being processed yet my blue line is full?
I doubt you will get in contact with anyone until after they have processed your return...I'm over my 21 days and I get the same as you the automated saying it's still being processed.. have you tried accessing your transcript?? I basically got my answer from my transcript.. they are moving slowly this year same as last!
What number did you call to speak to someone , i need my date and the WMR says mine has been delayed but processed but my blue bar on TT filled in all the way yesterday
Be patient or get a tax advocate... Your wmr will give you a number and code to get in touch with someone if something is wrong! But if you are in need of yours ASAP best result will come from getting a tax advocate
The blue bar means nothing... TurboTax has no more info for you after you push that submit button to send your filed tax electronic.. so again the full bar just indicates that your reached your 21 days
@srvel-11 That blue bar is meaningless ---all it shows is that time has passed since you e-filed. Your only source of information is the IRS after you file. TurboTax gets no updates.
The IRS has been severely backlogged for a long time. Many people are getting this message. TurboTax does not get any information after you file your tax return so no one at TT knows a specific reason why you are getting that message. If the IRS wants any other information from you they will let you know by letter. Meanwhile all you can do is wait patiently and watch the IRS site. The IRS is your only source of information.
How do I get in touch with a person at IRS?
Only the IRS controls when and if a tax refund is Approved and Sent.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don’t enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Then press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 4 for all other inquiries.
It should then transfer you to an agent.
Or you can contact your local IRS office. See this IRS website for local IRS offices - http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-Your-Local-IRS-Office-1 or call 1-844-545-5640 to set up an appointment
Or you may want to contact a Taxpayer Advocate in your area. See this IRS website for Taxpayer Advocate in your area and a toll free number - http://www.irs.gov/Advocate/Local-Taxpayer-Advocate
Have you gotten you're taxes yet ?
Have you gotten ur taxes ? It tells me the same on mine
I filed my taxes 02/08/2022 and it was received and accepted that same night … it is now may 9th ,2022….
about a week ago , I received a letter at the end of April maybe the 1st of may that was from the IRS, the notice was from February 22, 2022. It told me that after 60 days from the date on the notice to call them if i hadn’t received my DD. My refund was flagged for a review however I’ve only had one tax code on my transcript and it was TC 570 and the date after the code is for 3-14-22. Yet, i haven’t heard anything from the irs about why. Only a letter telling me that they needed to review my income and what not, and after they finished they would; either release my refund , send me a notice if they had to adjust it or if it was determined i didn’t qualify to receive a refund. However , i don’t owe any money or have an “ off set “ , debt owed to any government agency. only error i possibly could’ve had was claiming a stimulus check , but i was only owed 140$ ish dollars because i wasn’t paid the correct amount i was owed for one check. Outside of that, i have no idea what could be holding them up. I did claim a dependent this year , but it was only my mom and I’m sure it doesn’t take that long to verify an identity, She gets SSDI or whatever it’s called so she doesn’t file taxes but her once a month check doesn’t get her through a whole month, I help her out with bill, household stuff and food. They only gave me a extra 500$ for her , but my refund amount hasn’t changed, so I’m starting to think they just picked a bunch of random people to **bleep** over this year. I’ve been filing takes since 2012 , always used TurboTax and I’ve never had to wait this long for my refund. At this point I’m just beyond annoyed. I just want my money i worked a few jobs and paid my taxes & i want what I’m owed. I plan on getting a new ( pre-owned / used ) car ( again lol ) and I’ve picked out a few dealers and cars and have been approved, i just want to be able to put money down this time instead of putting 0$ down and my car note is like 756$ plus insurance 😩 . This is why I’m determined to get into law and fight for change, the way the irs doesn’t have to answer to us or clearly anyone is crazy. If we don’t pay our taxes they would hunt us down like run away slaves when they escaped “ Massa “ . . Long story short , don’t call that number and follow those steps someone else commented and said to do. It won’t work and you’ll just end up on a menu with options you don’t need. If someone has any real help or information about who to call if you’ve waited the 60 days they said for us to wait . if anyone else had this same issue please let me know your story and the outcome .
