SBTPG fees
I used the 2024 Deluxe Desktop version of TurboTax. I had a federal refund that I chose to be direct deposited into my bank account (NOT SBTPG). I already paid all my fees when I purchased the TurboTax software, so why am I being charged $55 extra??
I was not made aware of these fees, I did not choose SBTPG to process my refund, and if TurboTax had disclosed there would be any additional fees, I would have opted for a physical check to be mailed.
How do I go about getting this $55 refunded to me?
Copy/Paste from the SBTPG site:

$55.00 $55.00 |

SBTPG fees
I know what it is. Did you buy it from Costco or Sam's? In the Desktop program it is $25 to efile a state return. But you get a $10 rebate from Costco. So it’s $15. Then if you want the $15 deducted from your federal refund there is an Extra $40 Refund Processing Service charge. So 15+40=55. People get going too fast to efile and don’t read the screens slowly and click on the wrong button. You could have paid the $15 with a credit card to avoid the extra fee.
In the Desktop program you get one free state PROGRAM download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then each state return (including the first one) is $25 to efile. Or you can print and mail state for free.
