What does "Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available." Exactly mean?

Why it taking so longer to get my stimulus check and my refund? I have bills to pay and my refund kept say rejected how can i fix it over and over everyday nothing not working

@Cbranch52  If it says rejected on Turbo Tax then your return has not been filed.

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

My taxes say accepted Feb 10th I have not got a federal refund but got my state says still processing but when do I find out if they are good

We Efiled our return through TurboTax in mid February and it shows IRS accepted.  We've still not gotten our refund. Says "pending".  Find it odd that it's after 21 days and still not finished processing.  Typically we get our refund within days using efiling.  Are other folks experiencing the same?  Thanks

Yes.  You are not alone. I submitted previously through turbo for years now and same situation is happening this time around. Submitted Feb 12th. And still nada. Not even a estimated date and turbo tax does not supply answers

Sadly, the IRS refund site has been behaving erratically and has not always reliable this year.   TurboTax has no control over this and cannot find out anything about your refund for you.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.   Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.  The IRS is backlogged —-they are still trying to process millions of 2019 returns; they received millions of e-filed on the day they opened for 2020 returns, and now they are burdened with sending out another round of stimulus checks.   

Some delays are resulting from incorrect amounts that folks entered for stimulus checks they received.   Many people have been confused by the recovery rebate credit and completed it incorrectly.  The IRS may delay your refund while they cross-check to see what you received.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 34of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

Can someone please tell me a phone number to call. I got no letter no text no gmail. All I was getting was my stimulus. Just because I work for my self. They make u feel like u don't count. I'm 51 yes old . They have gotten taxes . Believe me. Had enough of (it's still being processed) . I need help to. I got that covic it put me out of commission for a while. I still don't feel right. Anyways just need a number to a live person.

I have used TurboTax for 6 yrs now and usually no problems and quick refund . This year I did add minor stepson and the child tax credit so I’m thinking that is what’s slowing mine up . No letter from IRS yet so I guess no news is good news ( kinda ) .  I just want to know if it’s just slow processing or if I made a mistake .

Yes I know someone got theirs last Saturday. So I said let me check this morning and I got mine with the bar and it’s just corrected the amount o was getting which is wayyyy less but I’m happy. Thanks I pray everyone gets theirs soon!
