I am having the same issue. I have read that they are backlogged and to e-file however I keep getting rejected due to the AGI not being recognized. I really do not want to do this by paper again this year.
See this TurboTax FAQ on how to find your AGI

You can get free 2019 tax transcript from the IRS
https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
If you filed late last year there is a good chance that the 2019 AGI never was entered into the e-file database. Try using 0 (zero) for the AGI.
If you filed an amended return use the AGI on the first filed tax return.
If it continues to reject then the AGI in the IRS database might be in error. Mail filing is the only option.
I had the same issue, so I did what another poster said: I put zero in the AGI field, and my 2020 e-file return was accepted. Good luck!!!
Entering 0 in the AGI box didn't work for me unfortunately. I sent them in via mail today. Hopefully they get filed in a timely manner. Now I'm worried we won't get the newest stimulus. The 2nd one we didn't get and had to get the credit. It's a long time to wait for other credit if that happens again. Just because the IRS doesn't have my 2019 recorded properly.
I had the same issue. I put zero in the AGI field, and my e-file return for 2020 went through. Good luck.
I mailed my 2019 tax returns late. And it hasn’t been processed yet. So in a rush, I filed my 2020 taxes through TurboTax. When I submitted the tax returns it asked me for my 2019 AGI. I entered what was on the paper copy. But it rejected it. I realized that since my 2019 mailed tax returns weren’t processed yet, they don’t know my 2019 AGI. After googling for an hour trying to figure out a fix, I learned that you need to enter $0 as your previous year AGI.
So when it asked me if I wanted to “try again”, it asked to confirm his identity and the 2019 AGI. Did that and clicked submit. It rejected again! But this time, it asked me to confirm MY identity and AGI. I noticed it still had the AGI I had typed in from my paper copy. So once I revised MY AGI, IRS and California accepted my returns! I guess even though we are married and filing jointly, we have to enter the AGI for both individuals.
Hope this helps you!
We are having the same issue. We cannot reach the IRS due to call volume. We tried the agi on the one they accepted. We tried 0 as advised. Did anyone figure this out?
If it shows that your 2019 return has not been filed then zero should work. What error message do you get back when you put in zero for the AGI?
This is exactly what happened to me. I got rejected 3 times. My 2019 taxes has not been processed yet. It was (2020 taxes) rejected the first time because I had the wrong AGI. The second time because I had the wrong AGI for myself, the third time the wrong AGI from my husband. (I didn't know I had to go in and change it for both of us) Changed that and the fourth time it was accepted. Thank you so much
Same issue here! Filed paper forms and sent check in July 20 for 2019 tax. Still has not been processed.
This has caused issue with receiving stimulus payments as well.
I cannot efile my 2020 taxes because IRS can't affirm my AGI from 2019 form?
Do I need to refile 2019; Call IRS?
Don't refile 2019. If they cashed your check, they have the return. Put zero ($0) in for the AGI on the 2020 return. If you get another different error after that like I did, you have file by paper again. And, yes, more delays in getting your stimulas check. Sooner you get it in the better..
Im in the same boat, I filed my 2019 return on time and paid the Taxes I owe, but my IRS account on payment tab shows they never received a payment for 2019. Then I check transcript and it shows I paid them tax I owed for 2019 but my return never received. How come it shows no payment made under payment tab. but payment made in transcript. I'm afraid this is going to haunt me in years to come.
Same, Just checked my IRS account and payment received when I check transcript, but nothing when I check payments made and states I never filed a return. They are taking the money but not processing the returns it appears.

So what IS the fix if the 2019 taxes that you filed (we got a refund for both state and federal) are not showing and you are due the 3rd stimulus???
