Why is SBTPG holding refunds?

I personally just use  the callback feature, so they can't hang up on me while on hold. Takes them about 4 hours to call me back because they are being bombarded due to having so many peoples money.

In the same situation. Was told that bank was sending the deposit back to SBTPG and by Feb 28th a check was supposed to be generated. A few days ago a live agent claimed the check had been mailed on March 7th. Here it is March 21st and still no refund. Also on the website I opened a support ticket which they closed without resolving the issue. This happened at least 3 times. Absolutely terrible service that I definitely will not be utilizing again. Didn't know we had to beg for our own money.

Have faith y’all, my check from SBTPG will be here tomorrow. I checked the usps app. It’s coming. I’ve alot of people saying they got theirs too

I guess their practices work Becuase once people finally receive their money they just forget about it

It is usually within 5 days from the date of mailing will you receive the check. However, you can contact SBTPG as they should be able to tell you why the check was issued.

I was told mine was mailed on March 11th and to wait til this Friday March 25th. 

thats 2 full weeks. Good luck on that 5 days and also good luck getting any clear answers from SBTPG. 

Turbo Tax do better with your communication with this company

Maybe in a perfect world, but they are not answering their phones on some days (busy signal ALL day) or never can give you a day…only that “we will let you know when we send it out”. It’s exhausting. Also if you filed a complaint they won’t speak to you about YOUR own account.

I feel exactly how you do I was told by the IRS my check was released on the third I called sbtg on the third they said it wasn't there made sense to me on the seventh I called back the automated machine said a paper check was distribute it to me on the seventh I called back on the ninth the automated machine said a check was sent out to me on the ninth I called back on the 13th it told me a check was sent out to me on the 13th every day I car it tells me my check was sent out that day then I spoke to representatives and they say my check was sent out on the 16th or the 18th no this was the 16th when I spoke to them then I called back on the 21st and spoke to a representative and she said my check was sent out on the ninth I explain to her that I have an email  from SBTG saying my check was sent out on the 16th or the 18th then she put me on hold and said yes it was sent out on the 16th or the 18th at this moment I don't know where my money is that the IRS released it on the third  I will never use TurboTax again and I have use them for the last nine years
