Why is SBTPG holding refunds?

I am in this same exact kind of mess. I filed a complaint with the BBB and now sbtpg wont even talk to me about it. Im livid and about to lose everything because of these -----. Im furious over this now its time to take legal action.

How can you say they aren't holding our funds when they personally told me they have had my money since FEBRUARY 25th and have NOT sent me anything yet! By the way, it's March 18th if you cant tell! Almost a month of them having MY money is the truth and only fact I have heard from SBTPG and TurboTax! Why are you guys (not you specifically but the company you work for) not doing anything about this! It's your "good" reputation that got all these people to trust you and SBTPG and now we are being ignored and stolen from! Please just help us because they are your partners. You will lose so much money next year due to everyone being afraid this will happen again. You guys may be happy this year... But you guys are a yearly service! And don't forget the main point, you guys are a service and without lots of customers you can really take a hit! I truly hope they shut this website down after next year! Very very bad business practice! Maybe H & R or Jackson Hewitt will hire all of you after your jobless!

After a 2 weeks runaround from the Turbo Tax Facebook representatives I find out they can’t do anything for me. 

BBB was contacted on SBTPG not on TurboTax. Turbo tax knew about me contacting the BBB on SBTPG as early as March 1………… lip service at best. Zero action was ever taken 

absolutely ridiculous company.

So I just saw someone who did receive their check and it was supposedly sent March 4 but it was post dated March 15 so there is hope. Fingers crossed guys and this is from SBTPG

@Smashly2383 Was it for the right amount?? All the posts Ive seen about checks received are for amounts much lower than they should be.

Yes I believe it was for the right amount but they did take out fees. I know they took an extra 30 out of mine. But u haven’t gotten mine yet

So when I filed a complaint with the BBB, SBTPG got back to my emails immediately saying they wouldn't be replying anymore and that the BBB would reply. Which they didn't because SBTPG didn't even respond to them. They kept saying my case was escalated. I literally no joke had to harass them 3-5 emails a day asking when my case would be handled and asking where my money was because I sent all of my information via email to confirm my identity and fix any issues.  After I did that for a week straight, I got my money immediately deposited after waiting over two weeks. Seems impossible to talk to anyone via telephone and the email system sends you janky automated emails, but it says to reply above the line with any concerns so I did that. Every single day like 5 times a day. They finally got sick of hearing me I guess. Very unprofessional company I will NEVER file with TT again after this year. They held my refund for two weeks with zero reasoning other than to collect interest for their bank account they opened for me through their bank (Civista Bank). One of two they send your refund to. Pathetic on turbo taxes part too that they can't handle anything but they have zero issue sending refunds to this third party bank with no way to track them or reach them.

2 people on this Facebook group I am in have shown pictures of theirs so i know of 2 people that have gotten their checks. I was told last Friday and yesterday that mine was mailed, but I also had horrible service on my phone last Friday so maybe I misheard the lady... Had perfect service yesterday and the lady said clearly, *it is showing here that yours was printed today (3/18) and when it shows that it means it's mailed as well. So yes ma'am your check was printed AND mailed today." I will be calling back today to verify that another rep will see and say the same thing and if so I'm just gonna wait for it bc it's coming!

One of the girls that I seen her check on the FB group said the envelope itself showed a date of March 8th (Tues), check showed the date March 4th (Fri), and she received it on March 11th (Fri). I truly believe hers WAS printed the 4th, mailed out on the 8th, and of course received the 11th. So I'm assuming mine will be about the same. It was printed yesterday (18th) mailed out by Tues (22nd) and I will have it possibly Friday (25th). I am gonna hope and pray to get it sooner. I truly hope many more people get theirs this week.
