My refund isn't anything close to what was shown I'd get and even weirder its sent by TPG products. Normally it's always sent by the IRS. Why am I being shorted over 700$ ? I refuse to believe it's fees or IRS adjustments. I've looked through many of the post in these forums and this seems to be a very common theme that keeps happening to people but nobody can find the answers to. How do I jump on board with this class action lawsuit so I can get the money I filed for?

Did you receive less than expected on your tax refund? The refund amount the IRS deposited in your account may be less than what you expected. There may be a few reasons why this may have happened. If this happened to you, you should get a letter from the government explaining why you didn't get the entire refund. Please see this Help Article for assistance.
They did adjust and I'm supposed to be getting 972$ more because I overpaid so even more reason to be upset. This amount is way less than even half of what I'm owed and try to track my refund on IRS and information can't be found. Same along with TPG website. Something is so off and weird about all of this not to mention there are hundreds of pages on reddit, Google, even these forums here of many people experiencing the same exact thing but Noone is able to do anything about it because who can we turn to ?
First, have you checked the IRS' Where's My Refund website? It may have information about a correction or an offset. For more details on why your refund could be less than expected, please see this Help Article.
Whenever I enter my information on there it says it can't find anything for me.
Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find a record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund? tool for updates.
That makes sense! Appreciate your response but I'm still confused then so what would the deposit from TPG products be for if it isn't the tax return then? Could that be the extra amount from overpaying on my taxes ?
You can follow the instructions here to contact the IRS, to see what amount was processed on your return.
If the amount processed is less than you expected, they can say why. If their amount is correct and TPG shorted it, then reach out to TPG here. @Pgabriel1116
I would like to know why I am being charged more and my check is less?
Hi! I came here for the exact same problem and previously made a post about it.
This needs to be remedied by TurboTax. MANY of us were given a refund that was less than the amount, and we did NOT consent to processing fees for some third-party corporation. This is absurd and NEEDS to be fixed ASAP.
Thank you.
You may want to review your TurboTax fees if you have not e-filed yet and remove any unwanted add-ons. If you still need further assistance I would suggest reaching out to Customer Support.
I'm having the same problem mine was about 700 short also.need my money.
I couldn't agree more it's complete BS! Clearly the economy isn't going to well and alot of people rely on their returns and just makes me angry how many people I see this happening to and I can't find anything anywhere on what we can do about it. I know I'll never use any tax service that uses TPG products. What a joke seriously!
@Pgabriel1116 I've been trying to reach out to TPG or TurboTax and keep getting the runaround. Frustrating.
When I used TurboTax, which I have used for over a decade, I knew I had to pay when I filed my taxes and was aware of the fee as well as always read the fine print. No where did I read about TPG or their fees.
Hi! @Pgabriel1116 Were you able to get in touch with anyone at Turbo Tax? I haven't found a resolution and I'm very frustrated.
