How long does it take to get confirmation from the IRS that they received my 1040a copies?

When a tax return is pending with the IRS, they often state that they have no record of it because of the pending status. It typically takes 24-48 hours but it can take longer. After you submitted your return by clicking "Transmit my returns now", you can check your status to ensure the return was transmitted successfully by using our e-file status lookup tool.

Also, your status is prominently displayed when you sign in to TurboTax Online or open your return in the CD/download version on your computer.

I chose to mail my. It was recieved by IRS on 3/6/2021, how long before they begin to work on it?.

Most refunds are received within 21 days from the time a return has been accepted (received). The IRS Where's My Refund? site is updated daily, however, they are experiencing some delays this year. 

You can also call the WMR Hotline at 800-829-1954 for updated status.
