I filed for a 2022 extension, but was in the hospital for a month when that extension time came around. I'm now trying to finish up. I paid for my online product, but now don't have access to it.
Can I bypass trying to claw my way through the customer support phone tree to reactivate this incomplete filing>
Any help would be appreciated.

The online system in now in transition from 2022 returns to 2023 returns. You will be able to access the return you started by using the exact same account and user ID that you used when you started it. But you can no longer use online software for any further changes.
Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2022 returns is now permanently closed.
Now it is too late to use online software or to e-file. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2022 return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac (not to a mobile device).Then you need to print, sign and mail it.
If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.

If you are getting a refund, there is no penalty for filing late. If you owe tax due, then file and pay the amount due as shown on the Form 1040, but expect a bill later from the IRS for the penalty and interest you will owe. Only the IRS will calculate this—TurboTax will not calculate it.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
The 2022 TurboTax online editions are permanently closed.
You will need to sign onto your online account and download the 2022 tax data file - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Since you paid for the 2022 online account you will need to contact TurboTax support and request that they push a 2022 desktop installation file to your download account. You will need to install the 2022 desktop program on a personal computer, Windows or Mac operating system.
Start the TurboTax program and the Open the tax data file that you downloaded, Complete the 2022 tax return.
A 2022 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax.
