I've contacted TurboTax everyday for the last two weeks in regard to the refund I was supposed to receive nearly a month ago and their answer is always the same "call the IRS". I've called the IRS for 18 DAYS and cannot connect to a representative. WHERE is my money TurboTax? Has anyone else struggled this hard to get any substantial answers from TurboTax this year? Is anyone else missing their refund despite it being marked as received and issued by the IRS? What is the deal? I've read thousands of TurboTax customers are having a similar issue this year for whatever reason. Has anyone been able to remedy their TurboTax woes?

In this public forum, we cannot diagnose why your refund has been reduced. For additional information, please see this Help Article https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/refunds/help/why-is-my-direct-deposited-refund-or-check-lower-than...or this TurboTax blog https://blog.turbotax.intuit.com/tax-refunds/why-is-my-tax-refund-not-what-i-expected-49240
I'm not inquiring as to why my refund has been reduced, I am inquiring as to why TurboTax has no idea what became of my refund and cannot provide any answers or advice to that effect.
We do not have access to your account in this public forum. You can check with your bank to see if a deposit was attempted but returned back to the IRS.
If you elected to pay your fees with your refund, then you would need to contact TPG as they are the one who would be handling your refund. You can also check out this TPG Help Article to check on your refund.
If you did not pay your fees with your refund, then you will need to continue to try to contact the IRS. Please see How do I contact the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)? for more information, including the IRS phone number and hours of operation. You may want to try calling right when they open since they have been very busy throughout the day.
There are some of us who are still waiting. Looks like it will be 90 days for me in about 2 weeks.
TT does not receive tax refunds, and receives no information about them from the IRS.
I have had this exact issue! I filed end of January 2022, it is now may and I have not received my refund. I have attempted to call the IRS, and I am always disconnected and told too many calls and a representative is not available. Thanks ALOT BIDEN is all I can say.
@nmheatwole - have you looked at your transcript on IRS.gov?
did you efile or paper file?
if paper file, assume it is going to be at least 6 months from the time you filed (maybe longer)
I was finally assigned to an advocate because guess what? THEY messed up on their end. I was told by the advocate that it has now been corrected as of Friday, and it's now just a matter of them releasing it by paper or direct deposit. I told her I filed for dd, but she says because it had to be done manually it would be up to them how they send it. 120 days so far
I E-filed end of January, I have also logged in my IRS online account, they have non of the information for my refund or where it is but TURBO tax shows it was accepted 1/31/22
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then a date for Sending will be available on the IRS website. Turbotax is not able to assist you any longer ... they are out of the loop once your return has been filed successfully.

Only the IRS controls when and if a tax refund is Approved and Sent.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don’t enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Then press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 4 for all other inquiries.
It should then transfer you to an agent.
