Turbo Tax Deluxe for 2024: Can't find a place to enter IP Pin

I have my new IP Pin and all the help screens say to "search IP PIN and then Jump to" to get to the place to enter it.

Search takes me out of my APP to the Intuit Web Site on my browser.

What specific commands in the 2024 Mac APP do I use to get to the IP PIN entry page?

I don't see anything related on the Personal Info Tab, but a sub tab "You & Your Family"

To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button

In Step by Step, your solution to enter the IP PIN is excellent and I entered them with no problem.

However in Forms, which I prefer to use to enter data, the program would not let me enter the IP PIN in either the 1040 worksheet or the actual 1040 form.

Anyway, problem is solved.  Thanks!

I never found "Federal Taxes," explicitly, in the desktop application.  In the desktop, Searching on, "IP PIN" took me to the INTUIT site where I got unsuccessful instructions...

How do I add or remove my 6-digit IP PIN?
Follow these instructions to enter your Identity Protection Personal Identification Number (IP PIN) or to remove an IP PIN that you accidentally entered.

Open or continue your return.
Navigate to the IP PIN section:
TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to IP PIN.
TurboTax Desktop: Search for IP pin (don't forget the space) and select the Jump to link.

1. In TurboTax (Home and Business), desktop application, open your tax return.
2. In row of tabs across top, select tab, "Personal"
3. Select "Other Tax Situations"
4.  In page, "Did you get an Identity Protection PIN from the IRS for this year's taxes?" select  [Yes]
5. Next to taxpayer's name, select [Add]

6.  "Tell us your Identity Protection PIN" (IP PIN)
        Enter your IP PIN (this PIN is obtained from the IRS ID.Me online portal, https://api.id.me/en/session/new)
7. Follow remaining TTax instructions.

DONE!

Step 2 should be "Go to Federal Taxes" not Personal Info

When I click on the update button to enter my pin, the screen pops up blank

You can try these steps to resolve if you are using the online version:

• Clearing your Cache and Cookies
• Using a different browser
• Opening an Incognito Window

I find it amazing that TurboTax STILL HAS THE INCORRECT INSTRUCTIONS AND DID NOT FIX THEIR TurboTax ASSISTANT TO ACTUALLY PROVIDE A "Jump to link" OPTION TO MATCH WHAT THEIR WEBSITE STATES FOR DOWNLOADED VERSIONS OF TurboTax (https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/add-remove-6-di...). MONTHS LATER, STILL A PROBLEM!!! THE ASSISTANT MAKES NO MENTION TO "Jump". IT OFFERS "Retrieve", which redirects to the IRS website, and Add/Delete, which redirects back to the page with THE ERRONEOUS INSTRUCTIONS!

Yes, fix this TurboTax. I have gone in a circle three times with your chat bot "help" telling me to go to a website, and the website tells me to use the Help-bot.  There are no "jump to" links given by the help bot.

The instructions from AevaO above worked for me with the Desktop version of TurboTax.

To enter your IP Pin, search for IP PIN and use the Jump to link OR you can get there by visiting the Other Tax Situations - Other Return Info section in TurboTax.    How to enter my IP PIN?    @81946
