You won't be able to make corrections unless your Colorado tax return is rejected. If it approved you may need to file an amended state tax return.
The IRS has our return as still pending not Turbo Tax.. what can I do??
Did you receive an email from TurboTax that your tax return has been accepted?
If you did try calling the WMR automated hotline 1-800-829-1954 instead if you submitted your tax return more than 48 hours ago.
@Tweety4me2
Yes I received the accepted email from TurboTax. I’ve tried calling that number but get the same run around that our refund is pending. What else can I do?? Or call?? TurboTax does not help with a phone number for these problems.
Since you received the email saying it was accepted, you will have to wait for the IRS to review and process your return. You can monitor their website. When they have an expected issue date they will publish it. Turbo Tax will not know when you will receive your refund.

Tax Season Refund Frequently Asked Questions
Since it has been over a month, how long do I wait? I’ve tried calling the numbers they post but I get the same pending answer...any additional help available?
The delay on the IRS side could be happen for variety of reasons. The simplest way to track your refund is the IRS website Where's My Refund?
JeanneLO: You really should stop referring people to call the IRS to speak to a rep. That option is no longer available. You only get the automated system with the same information that is available if you use the Where's My Refund app or log into a personal IRS account.
My Federal return was sent in 2/13 and was "Accepted" according to Turbo Tax but the IRS still has not acknowledged receiving it. THAT is the status of many people's return at this time. There is NO path for people to get an updated status on filed personal Federal returns at this time.
After 6 weeks I think the status should be something more then pending.. The IRS site gives you useless phone numbers and obviously TurboTax is not going to help. I will not be using their service after this year.
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then a date for Sending will be available on the IRS website. Turbotax is not able to assist you any longer ... they are out of the loop once your return has been filed successfully.

Only the IRS controls when and if a tax refund is Approved and Sent.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don’t enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Then press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 4 for all other inquiries.
It should then transfer you to an agent.
Or you can contact your local IRS office. See this IRS website for local IRS offices - http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-Your-Local-IRS-Office-1 or call 1-844-545-5640 to set up an appointment
Or you may want to contact a Taxpayer Advocate in your area. See this IRS website for Taxpayer Advocate in your area and a toll free number - http://www.irs.gov/Advocate/Local-Taxpayer-Advocate
Tweety4me2: Intuit Turbo Tax is a software provider, not a tax accountant. They only are there to help you prepare your taxes, not an advocate for you with the IRS. They had a few problems last month because they kept receiving "new" information from the IRS and they had to keep adjusting their software code to adapt to the changes, but they are now performing their piece of the process quite well. Status' for submitted returns are the response they get from the IRS. Not something Intuit can control.
The problems that everyone is having is as a result of the IRS being totally overwhelmed with work load. Not only are they processing the expected returns they are also processing all the additional returns from people after their "free" money. Not to mention that in the middle of the tax season the government added an additional "free" money pass with the new $1,400 hand out. I'm quite honestly surprised they haven't imploded at this point.
Although patience is NOT what most of us have when we "want our money", that is exactly what you need to have. Nothing we can do is going to speed up the process this tax season and Intuit can not make the IRS work harder or faster.
Critter-3: Your advice is very good in a normal tax season but right now it simply isn't applicable. The IRS is no longer taking "any" calls, even with their automated system. They are referring callers to on-line sources for information. Most local IRS offices are still 'closed' and the advocate offices can get no more information than any individual can on the internet, and their primary function to to assist tax payers with audit issues, not the timeliness of initial processing.
The best advise to to tell everyone to give the IRS time to catch up. They will, but not quickly.
I understand patience BUT our friends who used TurboTax and filed on 2/18/21 received their return 12 days after the filed. Same type easy 1040 form. Why was theirs accepted and processed so quickly? I am afraid “something “ happened to those of us that filed before the 12th and TurboTax sent them in for filing.. this is just wrong. TurboTax should followup with the IRS for those of us that filed early with their program. I’m trying but hit walls no matter what phone number I call. Even trying to make an appt with the IRS is impossible. Perhaps TurboTax with the large number of customers would have more success finding out what happened.
So I went under tax act and read that the irs is also holding returns if people had filed unemployment also for the bill that was just signed allowing the 1st 10,000 tax free . If this is anyone here that is still pending this may be why for you. However it’s a shame all the other do it yourself tax sites have all these answers on their site and turbo tax can’t update their customers like this . Horrible customer service TurboTax. Lots of people won’t be back next year I am sure of it . Still can’t get ahold of irs still no word from TurboTax and my stimulus is pending still because my taxes are too . I get they are swamped. Hire more people . During tax season and with the added stimulus being sent out they need more help
We’re all screwed just got off the phone with IRS verified turbo tax did mess up my taxes had an adjustment done said I’ll get a letter soon and a refund in 5 more weeks or more maybe all turbo tax fault
