Tweety4me2: Intuit Turbo Tax is a software provider, not a tax accountant. They only are there to help you prepare your taxes, not an advocate for you with the IRS. They had a few problems last month because they kept receiving "new" information from the IRS and they had to keep adjusting their software code to adapt to the changes, but they are now performing their piece of the process quite well. Status' for submitted returns are the response they get from the IRS. Not something Intuit can control.
The problems that everyone is having is as a result of the IRS being totally overwhelmed with work load. Not only are they processing the expected returns they are also processing all the additional returns from people after their "free" money. Not to mention that in the middle of the tax season the government added an additional "free" money pass with the new $1,400 hand out. I'm quite honestly surprised they haven't imploded at this point.
Although patience is NOT what most of us have when we "want our money", that is exactly what you need to have. Nothing we can do is going to speed up the process this tax season and Intuit can not make the IRS work harder or faster.
