Was accepted on February 13th still no refund. Says it still processing. Others have got their refund that filed later. We need some help or mass explanation. Has anyone heard anything or been able to get thru IRS phone?

Yes I got through to irs and was told that they were just really behind trying to get all the stimulus checks and returns sent out and it would be up to ten weeks before the were all out.I’ll tell you how to get through to them.call the irs number,it will either say thank you for calling or welcome to irs, after it says welcome press for English, then hit 2-1-3-2 don’t enter Ssn  and it’ll take you to another line, then hit 2-4... then it may be an hour wait but that’s how to get through to them...good luck.

You’re not alone I am currently having that same problem. I filed mine January 21 and was excepted February 12.  The IRS should have both my federal and state. My federal is highlighted green with the amount of $1800, theres is not an amount on the state part. As of 2-3 weeks ago the bar became all blue and that was the last update I’ve seen. It still says the same thing when I log in and it has been well over 21 day. When I try the where my refund and the other tools they both say refund is still being processed and a date will be available blah blah blah. I need some help badly please anyone.

The IRS does not have your state tax return.  If you e-filed the state tax return and it was accepted by your state then use this TurboTax support FAQ for checking the status of a state tax refund - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund

The date you see on the TurboTax Tax Home web page is only an Estimate of when the tax refund will be issued based on the IRS Target if issuing a tax refund within 21 days after the tax return is Accepted by the IRS.

The IRS is extremely backlogged with prior year 2019 tax returns, 2020 tax returns, stimulus payment processing and the requirements put on the IRS by the Congress for the American Rescue Plan Act.

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

So if you check the transcript page it should be able to tell you when you’ll get it. I should be getting my refund no later than the 10th of this month

Yes, exactly!!! I'm very tired if waiting. I'm not working and we desperately need the money. But more so it's stressing be out. I'm tied if checking and getting disappointed. You'd think that they could at least tell us a date. What can we do? Who can help us? @ what's up with my refund

You can setup a account through irs website get a copy of your transcripts and should give you a refund date. I don't have the information needed so I'm still waiting without a return date. They told me when I spoke on the phone with them that if I don't hear anything within 10 weeks call them back. Such bs when this year other than previous years I really need refund. Usually for back within 2 weeks but this stimulus bull**bleep** messed everything up.  🤬

I filed my taxes in mid February. It was accepted by the IRS on February 18. I have not received my refund. I check the IRS site Turbotax says to use everyday but it says the same thing, they are still processing my return. I am due a substantial refund and it has never taken this long. So I'd like to know if Turbotax can find out what is going on and push for our refunds. I understand it taking a little longer for paper returns but that isn't the case here. I'm wondering why I should pay Turbotax if my return and refund are going to take so long to process.

Turbo tax has no control over the IRS! NONE! They are manually doing most of the returns. If you filed head of household or earned income credit.... you have to wait. Unfortunately, that’s all there is to it. Even if you did your own taxes you would still be waiting. That’s just how it goes.

And the Where's my Refund Tool is useless every time i check it they update it once a day between midnight and 6 am. But it always says the same thing

Your tax return is still being processed.

Wmr site down?? Where'd you find out your deposit date then? On phone with irs? Because they couldn't tell me **bleep**. Other than it's in returns department and if I don't hear anything in 10 weeks from date accepted feb 13th call back. Friggin joke. Thanks to tt for adding amounts on line 30.

Been looking at the WMR site everyday since February, same info, still being processed, no date.  My return was accepted 2/12.  I was expecting to see the same thing this morning and nearly spilled my coffee when I saw the site had updated, my bars had returned and says my refund is approved and should be deposited 4/7.  There was an adjustment made, but that was only for $50 less.  So glad this nightmare is nearing an end.

Just wanted to say I had the same problem. Filed in February and was accepted on the 12th and since then all I get is your refund is still be processed. I checked in this morning and it finally says that your refund will be sent to the bank on the 7th. So fingers crossed it’s just because their behind and you guys should hopefully get the same thing soon

I filed later on last when it got extended and mine didn’t come in till literally the beginning of 2021. I’m hoping the same thing doesn’t happen again I need my money. This time as soon as I could and still haven’t heard anything back I’m in the same place like most people here.

I filed and my return was accepted March 4. It’s been a month (though only 20 business days?) and I haven’t received my federal refund. I did claim the Recovery Rebate Credit; my household did not receive the first payment under Trump but became eligible retroactively under Biden as explained on my tax form. I do believe this is the reason for my delay, and perhaps yours too. However, I did see the following conflicting info on the IRS site:

A5.  Claiming the Recovery Rebate Credit on your tax return will not delay the processing of your tax return. However, it is important that you claim the correct amount. Any errors in the credit amount on your tax return will be corrected.  Your refund may be delayed while we make any necessary corrections.

The fastest and most accurate way for you is to file is electronically where the tax software will help you figure your Recovery Rebate Credit. Visit IRS.gov/filing for details about IRS Free File, Free File Fillable Forms, free VITA or TCE  tax preparation sites in your community or finding a trusted tax professional. The Recovery Rebate Credit Worksheet in the Form 1040 and Form 1040-SR instructions can also help  determine if you are eligible for the credit.

Anyone with income of $72,000 or less can file their Federal tax return electronically for free through the IRS Free File Program. The fastest way to get your tax refund is to file electronically and have it direct deposited - contactless and free - into your financial account. You can use a bank account, prepaid debit card or mobile app for your direct deposit and will need to provide routing and account numbers.
