You cannot apply. It has to be offered to you.
Refund Advance eligibility
Here are some of the eligibility requirements to qualify for a Refund Advance loan:
The refund loan will not be available until later in January when you can e-file your 2021 return. The money for the loan is not given to you until the IRS ACCEPTS your e-file. The IRS will not begin to accept e-files until January 24.
You cannot apply for the refund loan. It has to be offered to you, and you have to agree to the terms—-which have changed since last year——so read some information——and pay attention to the details in the fine print … https://turbotax.intuit.com/refund-advance/
I qualify none of those that would prevent me from qualifying apply to me so why am I not seeing that option it says I can’t use my refund yet to pay for it is that why I don’t see it
Are all of your forms ready? Have you gone through the Review section yet? Click Review--- if your forms are not ready you cannot go to the FILE section. You have to be able to go through the Review section and get to the FILE section to choose how to receive your refund, and to be able to select pay from your federal refund.
REFUND PROCESSING
Do you mean you want to pay your TurboTax fees from your federal refund? If your federal refund will be enough to pay the software fees AND the extra $39.99 refund processing fee to have a third party bank process your refund then when you go through the Review section and next when you are in the FILE section you will be able to make that choice. Please make note that if your refund takes too long to arrive (IRS delays, etc.) then you will also be agreeing that the TurboTax fees can be extracted from your bank account even before your refund is issued by the IRS. This comes as an unpleasant shock to many people every year. It is better to pay for the software upfront using a credit card than to face the extra $39.99 fee and the possibility of the fees coming out of your account at a very inconvenient time.
And....you can never pay state tax due from a federal refund, so do not expect that. The state tax due has to be paid directly to your state.
REFUND ADVANCE LOANS
No-one in the user forum can see your information, so we cannot tell you why you did not qualify for the advance. It might have something to do with the state you live in, or you might have some other disqualifying reason—-we cannot see nor can we exert any control over it.
Once again I didn’t get the option for the advance because it’s not letting me us my refund to pay just yet because I have forms that aren’t ready yet is that why I don’t see the option for the advance
Probably--since you cannot go through the FILE section yet.
Not sure what state your in..but I'm using tax live and they told me my 8995 form simplified business deduction for federal will be available January 20th and the option to pay out of your federal return should be available by January 24th. My state forms aren't ready yet either and I have to file state..so its just a waiting game. I'm assuming that the hold up is similar to the irs site not being fully updated until January 22nd. But yah...I'm sure all states have tje same round about dates...mine are the 20th for my federal form..and the 24th for the option to pay out of my return ...of this month. It also costs $40 to pay out of your return..when that option is available.
Credit karma runs a soft credit check...its a loan...whether it's from your money or not..its money..given to you..until THEY get paid. I'm not making this up...its basic common knowledge. If you didn't qualify...you didn't qualify..if your credit sucks..or you have no banking or deposit history in your reports...your probably not going to get this LOAN ...ITS A LOAN ....LOL DURR PEOPLE
They call it an advance however it is really an interest free loan but you have to use the refund processing service for an extra fee AND open a bank account with Credit Karma this year to get access to the funds. There is always red tape ... there is no "free lunch". Since you are opening a bank account (with debit card access) they are allowed to be selective to whom they accept as clients and banking regs lets them pull a credit report on you even if it is a "soft hit".
I so badly want to make a really immature remark with the whole soft hit...vs hard "hit" credit run.....but I'm gonna adult this one lol. An not say it lol
