A letter from IRS states I did NOT report all income.

However, I uploaded ALL income to Turbo tax. After calling Turbo Tax to ask what's happening,

the *Expert* I paid extra for, would not let me complete my question.

She stated..* If they said they did not get it, then you did NOT send it* So,..you need to Pay!

for 7 years I've been with Turbo Tax, never expected this kind of RUDE horrible answer!

Will be going onto my Neighborhood App. and talk about it.

This is truly a Nightmare!

how do you know it was submitted! The IRS has a transcript of your return which shows everything that ws reported to it on forms like 1099s vs what its computers show was on the return. so review it.  it's the tax return transcript. you can review online or request a copy by mail using form 4506-T. you'd be surprised by the IRS computers do make errors. on the other habd, we can't see your return so it's possible it was on the return (box 5a)  submitted but miscoded so the wrong amount was shown as taxable (box 5b).

You could request a free wage and income transcript from the IRS to see what income was reported to the IRS by your employers and/or financial institutions.  Then compare that to the income you entered on the tax return.

IRS Agent told me on the phone today, my late husbands Pension was NOT included!

I DID upload it, it is showing on the TurboTax  papers I've printed out.

HOWEVER,..how do I know if it was really submitted?? things happen, but that is not an answer

    for IRS.

thank you for trying. however, having spoken to both..Turbo Tax Person, and IRS person, do not believe

I will get any help! on Turbo Tax, I listed.....Soc Sec,..My Pension,..my late husband's Pension..

every year since 2016. No problems.

This year, line 5a and line 5b was different, however, the total was the same as before.

So, whose fault is it? IRS simple says husbands pension is NOT listed!

Volvo Girl, thank you for trying. I,m giving up. since I have spoken to both parties, what else can I do.

will write to IRS, accept and hope they will re-check all. Guess that's life, not always fair.

the bottom line is to compare IRS
    "record of account"

with your printout of your TurboTax original filing.

    look for
    TOTAL PENSIONS AND ANNUITIES

    TAXABLE INCOME
