If I have already filed my 2020 return and they change the child tax credit law will the irs automatically change it or will I have to file an amend?

I’ve the same problem and nobody can answer it. When I field it was on there otherwise I wouldn’t have sent it off and when I went back in there to look after two days it’s not?! My refund amount is extremely low than it told me when I sent it off. The EIC it’s gone! Did TurboTax messed it up or what went wrong?

The best thing to do is to wait and see if your return is accepted or rejected before you can make any changes to it.

If it is rejected you can make corrections and resubmit it.
