To track your Federal refund, visit the Where’s My Federal Refund? site You may also download the IRS2Go app to check your Federal refund status
Note: You will need your social security number, filing status, and refund amount in order to track your refund.
If your return is still pending and not accepted yet by the IRS, you will need to wait until it's accepted to check the status on the IRS website. Be sure when checking Where’s My Federal Refund? site that you are entering only your Federal refund amount. This can be found on your Federal form 1040, line 21a. Also if you paid any fees out of your federal refund, use the refund figure prior to the deduction of he fees. If you are filing joint, you will need to enter the filers information that appears first on the return.
You can track the status of your state return by following the directions in the following TurboTax FAQ.
How do I track my state refund?
What does it mean when it says my information didn't match , jus yesterday it said I was approved and gave me date
@Alexwrenn22 Try clearing the cache and cookies of your web browser and then checking your refund status on the IRS website.
It could be it's not been processed yet, they've found a error or you owed a debt and it was garnished. Call the IRS if you've already gotten your state.
Do you have any debts? Owe any child support or??.....it could have gotten garnished. It's been enough time the IRS will know by this point
The IRS states:
WHERE’S MY REFUND STATUS BARS DISAPPEARED
"We have gotten many comments and messages regarding the IRS Where’s My Refund Tool having your orange status bar disappearing. This has to do with the irs.gov where’s my refund site having too much traffic and lagging. This is causing images not to display and information about your federal tax return to not show up. This has happened every year since the tool was first available. This has nothing to do with you being flagged or your return being denied. Status Bars Disappeared for many Americans who filed early. This also can have to do with your browser settings as well as your cache. Please try using a different browser such as Chrome or Firefox. Also, clear your cache in your browser settings."
When checking on the status of your refund at the IRS Where's My Refund (WMR) site, you may get the message: We cannot provide any information about your refund. You must wait at least 24 hours after you get the acknowledgment e-mail that your tax return was received by the IRS.
You might receive this message because:
Please click Why is there no record of my return at Where's My Refund (WMR)? to learn more.
Im starting to get that now, last i checked it was in processing.
@RavenDarkCloud This is not uncommon, if your return is still in the processing stage and topics and bars disappearing mean the process is moving along.
The general timeline of e-filed returns is: Transmission > Acceptance > Processing > Approval > Refund.
During processing, the government reviews your refund. During the review process, they look for math errors on your return (extremely rare in TurboTax) and they also check if you owe back taxes, unpaid child support, or other debts.
If they need to make any corrections, they may offset (reduce) your refund. In some cases, the correction might even increase your refund.
Once that part's done, the government approves your refund, which means it's ready to be deposited or sent. At that point the IRS site will update with a direct deposit date.
Note: Be sure when checking Where’s My Federal Refund? site that you are entering only your Federal refund amount. This can be found on your Federal form 1040, line 21a. If you paid any fees out of your federal refund, use the refund figure prior to the deduction of he fees. Also if you filed joint, be sure to enter the filers name that appears first on the return.
I was trying to check my refund status on IRS2Go I check it every day but two days they said there was an error in my stuff
@Rcory1354 If the IRS Where’s My Federal Refund? site is showing an error, you should receive a letter in the mail if they need any additional information or need information verified.
So, I am stupid, but I am supposed to enter income tax refund from 2019 tax return . Thanks, [email address removed]
This is normal. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund tool for updates. Updates are made daily, usually overnight.

My refund said approved and now it says my info doesn’t match and I know it does
Are you receiving just the 1200 Stimulus check? If so, don't put $1200 in the refund section just put $1.00 and it should pull right up. However, it still shows mine is processing on the IRS2Go app but on get my payment it shows Im getting a deposit on April 30th
