Being accepted in the test batch did not mean you would be processed faster.

If accepted, they try to process it within three weeks but it can be longer.  if you have earned income credit or additional child tax credit, it will be at least the end of February before you see your refund, due to the PATH act that requires that they hold your refund longer.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 34of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

I also got accepted on 2/10 and I got nothing still. I filed for my brother a week after and he got his yesterday and he didn’t even know about it. He also had 2 dependents I’m like come on IRS let’s speed this along without screwing us over.

@Taya2012 TurboTax cannot speed up the IRS for you.   TurboTax does not receive any information after you file.   Watch the IRS site for refund information.  If you are getting EIC or additional child tax credit you have to wait because of the PATH act.

I was actually asking them to speed up because I know they don’t move on our time and I’m ok with that. I was just talking. I have a full understanding of how the process works Thank you.

Sometimes as your return is being processed the bars disappear. Continue to check the status of your return by using the Where's My Refund Tool located at the IRS website.

Looking at my tax transcript my original refund shown when I filed on Turbo Tx is $1700 less. I noticed the first line shows 4/10/2020 $1200  tax relief the next line is $500 credit to my account total refund $1700.
Question: Why was the 2020 stimulus payment deducted from my  from my refund?

I was accepted into the test batch 02/10/2021 . I still have No ddd.

In this case, it is because the IRS has in their system that they have distributed a stimulus check to you (whether via DD or mailed check), regardless of whether or not you received one. So, if in your questionnaire you inputted that you did not receive one or both, but they have in their system that they distributed one or both, then they will adjust that amount that was added to your refund when TurboTax did the calculation based on your entries to what they have in their system. If, in fact, you did not receive a check (again, whether via DD or physical check) and they reduced your expected refund, contact them immediately.

If you never received the first stimulus payment, and the Get My Payment Tool, or the letter you received from the IRS (Notice 1444), says that the payment was mailed, you can request a payment trace now. To request a payment trace, call 800-919-9835 or fill out IRS Form 3911, Taxpayer Statement Regarding Refund.

After reading the payments received are not supposed to be deducted from our returns is that correct?

@hnward72 If you received all of your stimulus payments, then there would not beany stimulus in your refund. If you are getting stimulus payments as part of you refund, you would get the full amount unless you had an offset.

Unless you mean paying for the tax return. If you authorized Santa Barbara bank to take your refund and pay TurbtoTax and Santa Barbara, then the fees would be taken from your refund.

Hi:  if I understand correctly the 1st stimulus & 2nd stimulus if received WILL BE deducted from the year filing.

@hnward72  If you received your stimulus payments when they were sent, they will not appear on your tax return at all. They are not income, not a deduction, not on the return. Only if you did not receive payments, then you would have the missing amount added to your normal refund.

See IRS stimulus website.
