You didn’t apply it to the Turbo Tax fee. You applied it to your next year’s state tax return like an estimated payment. You need to enter it into your HR Block tax return. I don’t t know where there. Probably when you fill out the federal return. It can be a federal deduction if you itemize.
Applying your refund to a future TurboTax fee was not an option. You could, however,, have opted to apply some of all of your 2023 state refund toward 2024 tax owed. Look at your 2024 state return and see if that is what you did.
If you chose that, you will need to ask H & R Block how to enter that on your 2024 return.
Oh, what state? Look at your state return. What line does the $200 show up on? Check your bank statements did you get the full state refund or was it reduced?
Also you may be confused about having the fees deducted from your federal refund last year.
If you applied your 2023 state refund to your 2024 taxes, you will need to indicate that on your 2024 tax return. If you need to know the amounts, you can print a copy of your 2023 state return by signing in to your TurboTax Online account and visiting the Tax Home page. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents, expand the section and choose 2023. Your 2023 state return will show the amount you applied to 2024.
TurboTax will have automatically entered the amount for you. To see it on your 2024 return, go to Federal Taxes > Deductions & Credits > Estimates & Other Taxes Paid > Other Income Taxes > 2023 refund applied to 2024.
In TurboTax, you would search for refund applied to this year and use the Jump to link to be taken to that section of TurboTax.
