I still haven't received my refund 2016 returns and I would like to know why because I got some bills that are due and was needing it

@nativepride2u Sorry but no one can check on your old tax return for you.  No one else has access to your account, your return or your old records.  If you do not remember how to access the account you used for that old return you can try the recovery tool:

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

@Wheelchairfatz Why are you asking about a check for 2016 now in 2021?   It is past the limit to get a refund for a 2016 tax return.

Refunds usually take about 21 days after the IRS has accepted your e-filed return. If the IRS has accepted your e-filed return, you can check the status of your refund by going directly to: https://www.irs.gov/refunds
