. TurboTax and the IRS save returns for seven years and then they are gone.
Save/download all your tax returns NOW....any that are available. One year is eliminated from the TTX storage every successive year. So get any that are available now while you have a chance.
You don't necessarily have to print the PDF files out, as long as you BACK THEM UP to a usb flash drive...or other off-computer personal disks or remote cloud storage. Remember, computers crash, or are replaced, so having the backup copies is critical.
(Note: just the PDF files.... the .taxyyyy datafiles are useless to you unless you have the desktop software installed for that particular year...and only the last 3 years of desktop software are available for purchase)
