I need a copy of my 2019 tax return. I can't find it on this new website?

What if I can’t access the account I used to file my 2019 return? I need a copy of my 2019 tax return! How do I gain access to that?

@Emmyj81 File an account recovery request. See: Account Recovery Request for your TurboTax Account.

If you are not able to recover your account, you can order a copy of your 2019 tax return from the IRS.

Transcript

A transcript shows most line items including the adjusted gross income (AGI) from your original Form 1040. It doesn't show changes made after you filed your original return. This transcript is only available for the current tax year and returns processed during the prior three years.

You can obtain an IRS transcript at Welcome to Get Transcript.

An IRS transcript usually meets the needs of lending institutions offering mortgages and student loans.

Copy

An actual copy of your tax return will cost $50. Complete and mail Form 4506 to request a copy of a tax return. Mail the request to the appropriate IRS office listed on the form. People who live in a federally declared disaster area can get a free copy.

Plan ahead. Delivery times for online and phone orders typically take five to 10 days from the time the IRS receives the request. You should allow 30 days to receive a transcript ordered by mail and 75 days for copies of your tax return.

I'm not sure what you are doing with "Adjusted Net Income" as opposed to "Adjusted Gross Income (AGI)", but I can tell you some info on finding a 2019 return.

How was your 2019 return prepared--in Online TurboTax (web version) or the desktop software (CD/download)?    If you prepared the 2019 return in Online TurboTax, you can access your online account from any computer with a browser, so a new computer won't matter.     If you used Online TurboTax, but can't find your 2019 return, we can tell you how to look for it, including how to check for multiple accounts.

On the other hand, if you prepared your 2019 return in desktop software (CD/download), then you are the only one who could have saved the tax data file and/or PDF.     If that's the case, and if you didn't save a copy, you can download a free 2019 tax return transcript from the IRS at their site, once you register for an IRS account.

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

While a transcript is free and sufficient for most purposes, an actual copy of the 2019 return from the IRS costs $43 and can take several weeks.

This answer assumes your 2019 return was prepared in Online TurboTax.  Any return prepared in desktop software will not be in an online account.

First, see the 2 methods and video here:

FAQ:  How do I access my prior year return?

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/prior-year-return/help/how-do-i-access-my-prior-year-return/01/270...

When you log into TurboTax for the first time this year, you may not yet have the Tax Home tab and Documents tab visible in the left menu column.    If they're not there, then you may have to first proceed a little further by answering some preliminary screens and may even need to choose a 2020 product to get them to appear (you are not obligated to use it.)    Once you continue far enough to have those tabs, here are a couple of ways to get to the prior returns:

You can click on the Documents tab in the left menu and then a dropdown list of years should appear.  Choose the year, and then way off to the right of the screen, you should see a link to download the PDF.    If that didn't work, here's another method:

Go to the Tax Home.  Scroll down the Tax Home page to the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents."  Expand that section and choose the tax year you want.   Then you can choose to "Download/print the PDF", or if you just need the 2019 AGI, then once you choose 2019 there should be a link to "View adjusted gross income (AGI.)"

If you do all that, but there's no evidence of prior returns in that section "Your Tax Returns & Documents", then you likely have multiple accounts and signed into the wrong one.    Many people end up with multiple accounts.

You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes.  A User ID may be an email address, but it doesn't have to be.  It might be only part of an email address, or it can be anything at all.

To get a list of your User IDs, reset password, and recover account access, etc., you can use the tool at the link below.  When using the Account Recovery tool, try using your phone number first if you can still access it.   After that, if necessary, then run the tool on your email address(es) you can access.

NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop.  Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below.  You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session.

https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery

If still no luck after running that on your phone number you can still access and email address(es) that you can access,  here's another method:

Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, scroll down a bit, then choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by SSN and other parameters.

If you used Online TurboTax, you can use the steps below to find and view/print the 2019 return.   If there is no evidence of the 2019 return when you do all the steps below, then you may have multiple accounts.  I'll also include how to troubleshoot for multiple accounts.  Any return prepared in desktop software (CD/download) will not be in an online account.

This is a user community forum--not a direct route to TurboTax Support.  It is a public Internet forum, so you should not post personal info in this forum.  If you want to remove your name, you can edit your comment above by clicking the tiny blue 3-dot icon just to the right of your comment.

No one here can email you a tax return nor can TurboTax Support.  In fact, it is not safe to email tax returns in regular email.  Tax returns have way too much sensitive information.

If you prepared your 2019 return in online TurboTax, here's how to find it:

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

For a fee of $43 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf
