I asked for a refund by paper check. I would like to change it to a debit card

If you already filed your tax return it is too late to change how you want to receive your refund.

If you have already successfully filed the return then this cannot be changed.

If you are using the FREE version then your only options are a check in the mail or a direct deposit to your bank account or prepaid debit card you already have in your possession.

If you have not filed the 2019 tax return then you can change how the refund is received in the File section of the program on Step 2.
