How long after the bank rejects my refund will it take the IRS to issue me a paper check

@Chancej32 Were you having your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund?   If so, then the refund would have been sent back to the third party bank instead of to the IRS.   You have not said why the bank rejected your refund----was your account closed or did you give incorrect banking information and have wrong account or routing number when you filed the return?

If you were having the fees taken out of your refund, try checking with the third party bank:

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC  (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.

Otherwise----your refusal to have the payment traced is not working out for you so far --   is it?

This is my 3rd stimulus check I haven't received idk why my bank gotten shutdown but it has me upset it take this long

The rejected direct deposit of the federal tax refund is sent back to the IRS.  The IRS will then send a refund check in the mail to the address on the tax return.  This process may take 3 weeks or longer.

I got my refund in sent my bank and rejected it because the name and address wasn’t the same it took two business days to return back to the irs I called the irs and talked to someone and the person it can be up to 5 weeks before I get anything back I just want to know how long does it take before I get a paper check in the mail it’s already been a week

You will need to allow up to 5 weeks as stated by the IRS. If you still have not received your refund at that time, you will need to reach back out to the IRS.

Same thing happened to me a couple years ago. & it took 4 months for me to get a check in the mail. They kept giving ne the run around. Good luck

To obtain a transcript, please visit the IRS site here.  

Please note: Per the IRS, Get Transcript information is updated once per day, usually overnight. There’s no need to check more often.

Do you know where i should check on the Transcript? I don’t know what I should be looking in terms of finding out when the refund will mailed out to me because of my bank rejected the refund.

tbh idk I’m kinda in the same boat with you, my bank rejected my refund the 24th as well but I can’t seem to find out when and if there is a new date it’ll be sent through the mail. I read in this forum someone saying not to trust the “where’s my refund” because it’s not accurate. The person on this forum said that the transcripts are more reliable and I checked mine and all I could find was a date for 04-15-2022 but Idk if it was for the refund. Sorry if this doesn’t help
