No, you do not resend your tax return. You send to the IRS what was requested by the IRS and nothing more. The IRS notice you received has instructions on how and where to send the documentation requested.
The notice I received from the IRS specifically states, "Due to an error in processing your return, please resend your tax return to be processed. Also please include requested documents." This would seem like they desire me to resend the document.
OK...So the IRS has requested that you include the tax return that was filed. In this case you would send the tax return with your other documentation.
Yes, thank you. I wasn't able to determine how I could do that. I am hoping I don't have to print out all 108 pages of my return and mail it to some address I don't have yet. Can this be done in TurboTax?
You only need to print out the Form 1040 and then any forms and/or schedules which have a Attachment Sequence Number located in the upper right corner of the form and/or schedule. You do NOT include any of the worksheets or information only pages with the tax return.
Make sure that you sign and date the Form 1040 on page 2 of the 1040 before mailing.
@lentinsley44-gma Did not the IRS notice you received have a mailing address?
Also, you do have a PDF copy of the tax return that was filed?
