Seems turbo tax had a system issue with box 30 getting filed out incorrectly automatically and is now cuaseing every one's return to delayed as a result

Same thing is happening to me. I am frustrated and getting worried. I know others who have already received theirs. I already got my state and not received my federal tax return yet. If this takes much longer then I too will pay the extra over the $129.00 or so dollars i paid turbo tax and have a pro do it next year.

Since your tax refund is taking longer than the typical 21 days to receive, see this FAQ regarding  What to do if it's been over 21 days.

So my tax return is way overdue so I decided to call the IRS. I tried many ways of trying to get past that automated system and finally I came up with one and it makes total sense. When you get into the menu press the buttons saying that I you owe them money (even if you don't) and want to pay your balance in full over the phone and then BOOM I got through. It was almost like a joke when I did it I told my mom watch if I push the button saying that I owe them money they will probably answer and that's exactly what happened. If they owe you money and you push those buttons saying you're wondering where your tax return is you will never get through. When I was talking to the lady on the phone I even brought that up to her, how come we can get through  if we say we want to pay you but if the IRS owes us we get a recorded message saying due to high call volume to try back later. She just blew off the question. Anyways I'm about 95% positive if you say you owe them money and want to pay, you will get a live person on the line.

@Aahren

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2022 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

To track your state refund:

https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901548-why-do-some-refunds-take-longer-than-others

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

OR——if you filed by mail, expect a long wait.   It is taking the very backlogged IRS six to nine months to process mailed returns.   Until a human opens your envelope and enters the data into the system, nothing will even show up on the refund site, so you will have to be very patient.

If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund earlier than late February.

@afetter2000 The IRS shows that message to everyone....but you are correct that you will wait for the IRS.  Only the IRS controls your refund.

I filed early 19th. I claimed eic. It was lefted today, so you should be able to exactly when you're refund is coming. Check the IRS website.
