Anybody know after you update your direct deposit information on the get my payment tool how long it will take for them to issues the money to our account

Is there any specific stuff to do so they know to send it to my turbo card? All I've done is fill out the census form saying pretty much who i am and where i live.

The census has nothing to do with the irs. You need to go on get my payment on the irs website and update your banking info

@Sara56lynn - here is why: 

when you had the fees deducted from your refund, what really happened is that a temporary account number was provided to the IRS.  THAT IS THE ONLY ACCOUNT NUMBER THE IRS HAS.

the fees were deducted once the refund went into that temporary account, and the remaining money was put on your permanent account number.  

the IRS was never provided that permanent account number - they were only provided the temporary one, which is now closed.  that is the way it worked when you had the feed taken out of the refund or had an advance loan. 

the rebate comes directly from the IRS; Turbo tax gets no piece of it and it does not run through their hands in any event.

Go to IRS.gov and click on get my payment. Fill in the I formation and they will tell you if you need to enter your account I formation. You will need your federal refund amout (do not include state refund) and your AGI

Thank you for that info. I am aware of all of that I updated my info with the IRS yesterday morning at 5am. Turbo tax should of let its customers know that infomation ahead of time. The question we want to know now is how long it takes the IRS to send the direct deposit once they have your correct information.

The IRS updates get payment status once a day so if you updated your banking information today check tomorrow and it should have a status of when it's coming to you but warning if you check that website too many times it will lock you out

@Sara56lynn - i haven;t seen that published anywhere, but i have to believe there is a real rush at the IRS to get out as many direct deposits as they can.  Suggest checking every 3-4 days or so.

Turbo don’t care since they are not receiving anything or any payment for this. Who knows when turbo customers will get their money for relief this is just B.S. it’s very unfortunate;(.

We will get ours but definitely not as a direct deposit it was rejected sent back to IRS now we will be the very very last to get ours. Really sucks.

If i were you i would open a new account with a bank or prepaid company turbotax is not working
