Does anyone have issues with getting information on the Unemployment Refund? I filed in February before you could file, got me refund in April and still nothing!

I filed HOH, 1 dependent, and had college refund. I’m not understanding what’s going on! The date says tax assessed 7/26. As of date of 8/23. Everyone I know has gotten theirs but me. I could use it bad right now.

The IRS is calculating the tax refund based on the unemployment compensation exclusion of up to $10,200 of unemployment compensation for those that are eligible.  The IRS started sending exclusion tax refunds separate from federal tax refunds in May and will continue sending those refunds in batches throughout the summer months.

Go to these IRS websites for information on the unemployment compensation exclusion -

there is no IRS website where you can get the status of this refund. you could try calling its general number but its phone lines and agents can handle all the calls. you may have to try numerous times 800-829-1040
